Yeah you have to register to download the character and also some other mugen stuff that the forum has to offer.

it seems kinda counter-intuitive to make people sign up for a forum that they have no intention of posting on just to try out a character that was released to the public. I could understand if it was some sort of thing where only certain people were allowed to have it or something, but other than that I don't get why people do it.

O.o.....
All I'm waiting on is someone to say:

I am waiting for somone to throw the thief card.

El boco is Gate anyway. If thats what he's getting at over a handful of pixels then the topic can be taken down instead of dragging this out into the typical Alucard/ANC type of drama.

It's definately not worth that over a haircut. I hope this will stay cival for the forums sake.

asking for permission isnt the standart for the community?

That f**k*** Gate made it close my topic in paodemugen because i included a character in my fullgame without permission

because right now we haven't figured out how to make it to where guests can view the downloads without also allowing them to view the entire forum. the download section hasn't even been up a month yet.

we'll figure out some system down the line, but please don't knock us just because of having to sign up to download. so you know, for a good bit of time, that was the only way to download a few characters from the imt release party, being a member of the forum here.

and is it so horrible to sign up anyway? it takes like 1 minute to sign up to places like imt, cvg, and the rest.

Let's not talk about Gate, he is a tool and not worth discussing. I would suggest we talk to him about this except I know he's a ltitle weasle.

i think Gate is more open minded than some because i will use his way better edit with color shading and whatever you wanna read because i don t even know what i m writing,  but like black canary said: "girls, always remember , play the game but don t let the game play you".
Hello, here it's Gate.

I've heard some guy started some sh*t in your IMT topic involving my sprite. That guy has rancor because i've closed his "fullgame" topic in another fórum because of stealing characters, and the worst, he lives in the same building as me.

I'll give my permission for using my sprite with one condiction, make good animations.

I wasn't knocking you or your website, so much as the idea in general, so I apologize if I have somehow offended you.

But yeah, it IS kinda annoying to have to sign up to an entire forum just to check out a public release, honestly. IMT had release parties as a bonus for the people who have been following the project and posting on the forum, and then put the stuff on the main site later for everyone else (at least this is my understanding of it). That's a tad different.

Also, why wouldn't you want guests to be able to view your forum?

if you can consider it a bonus for members of imt to download some of the release characters that can only be gotten in the forum at the time, why can't you consider it a bonus for the members there to download the things in that section?

we were just offering that bonus as you put it to people here. in fact in many cases i bet many new members came to imt due to the release party and only being able to DL whatever then.

in time the DL section might be figured out to that degree, but it didnt even go online til July 11th.

and now your really crossing into double standard territory even more when saying something about guests viewing the forum at CVG. can guests view it here? no.

I wouldn't worry about it Volzilla. Sic Graphics gets the same gripes about their DL section. Everybody has a differant view on this. I myself never liked signing up to download either, but it is what it is. People either deal with it or they dont. I wouldn't take it personal. At present there's really only hosted characters anyway. Some of us will have more than one host when released anyway so if someone doesn't get it there, they can get it at another host.

oh sure, take away a bullet from me to use later by mentioning SGM as i was going to probably mention how their DL section has worked to this point if this discussion went further.

we will figure something out. some kind of coding has to take place though and thats not my realm. right now i can go in and click something that allows for guests to view everything but i don't wish to do that. there are a ton of sites that have died due to making everything readable by guests.

most comic specific mugen sites (including imt) have a members read only thing anyway, so i dont know why that was up for debate to begin with.

I don't know why everyone is debating this issue in this thread to begin with . But , to those making the statement that they do not want to sign up at new forums to get releases . Wait a few days .  If the creation is any good ( Or even if it isn't ) , Most of the time it's up on esnips in a week .

Wolvenom & many of the other IMT releases were up there the same day they came out ....lol

Go ahead , Feed him ....lol

that's probably what I will end up doing, honestly. I don't want to get even more off topic here. It's a lost cause.
