Having a parallel universe??well i read somearticles about it.. Einstein having said to belive in it..

I remember watching a TV show about it. However scientists there explained that many parallel universes are microscopically perceptable (atoms and molecules) and consistant only of energy not matter (or something like that, it was a long time ago). But that doesn't mean there can't be matter on a parallel universe.

I've taken college level physics and the whole dark matter thing is pretty crazy, we talked about it a little. They think there's another, alternate universe where everything exists the same but on different wavelengths made out of antimatter, or dark matter. but if we ever came into contact with a dark matter version of ourselves, it would cause a bigger nuclear explosion than an H bomb.  :|

Thats sick  @-) I could see that happening. And I think you mean vibrational frequencies instead of wavelengths in saying there's 2 universes  :-"

"In theory" of course

Everett came up with a more audacious interpretation: the universe is constantly and infinitely splitting, so that no collapse takes place. Every possible outcome of an experimental measurement occurs, each one in a parallel universe.

That's what I was thinking about, actually since I was about 9 or 10. Like every choice you make creates a divergent timeline based on that action, thought infinitely...

If one accepts Everett's interpretation, our universe is embedded in an infinitely larger and more complex structure called the multiverse, which as a good approximation can be regarded as an ever-multiplying mass of parallel universes.

plausable. Relative to what I said above, that'd totally make sense

Every time there is an event at the quantum level - a radioactive atom decaying, for example, or a particle of light impinging on your retina - the universe is supposed to "split" into different universes.

A motorist who has a near miss, for instance, might feel relieved at his lucky escape. But in a parallel universe, another version of the same driver will have been killed. Yet another universe will see the motorist recover after treatment in hospital. The number of alternative scenarios is endless.

In this way, the "many worlds" interpretation of quantum mechanics allows a time traveller to alter the past without producing problems such as the notorious grandfather paradox.

So what that means, is if (and when) time travel is possible, if I went go to another time period (presumbly in the past, or future, just in an alternate world) I could co-exist with my counterpart?!?  8-}

Wrap your mind around that!
Dark matter/energy exists in our universe as we speak. In fact, more that about 65% of our universe is dark matter/energy. Its the energy that was present before the universe was formed and what created matter.

Edit: when you say dark matter could create an explosion bigger than an H bomb, thats an understatement. Its the energy that created the big bang! But its in a variable quantum state, which is why we can't see it or probably can't interact with it. Hence the "dark" part. What they're saying is just by us interacting with it on our quantum plane, even just by viewing it by... whatever crazy means they use to view it (I think its the bending of light like near a black hole), we are taking away the fact that its in a variable quantum state, and making it on our quantum state, therefore making it impossible for it to continue expanding the universe we live in, including our dimensions such as up down left right time... and the other 11 or so... however many they've come up with so far :P

Dark Matter set off the Big Bang? I dont think we'll ever really know if thats a fact. And I dont think its a good thing to see the origin of the universe, honestly. I dont believe that viewing the variable quantum state in any wavelength could effect any of the Dark Matter in the universe... power sources on Earth dont have the capacity to make a .0001 percent change if any at all   :-??
