Hey, don't take it so seriously. I'm just saying that there's more to FF then just FFVII, and that such suggestions should better reflect that. That's all.

I would like to join the project if it is possible, since I play Dissidia I like to sprite a Warrior of Light character.. and if it is possible also I like to sprite Sora from KH II or Axel from KH CoM or Aqua From KH BBS

Actually, I wished someone making Square Mugen Project (I mean something like Square vs. Enix or Final Fantasy vs. Dragon Quest...etc) other day, and I'm happy to see you (LeonScottKennedy) are working on this.  =D> :w00t:


Especially, I'm glad to see Kain Highwind (I like your Kain sprite) and Golbez as wip; I'm proud of you for picking these characters from Final Fantasy IV (this is one of my favorite games of all time).


About characters from Capcom...  Ummm, It would be good if you use characters that already have sprites (e.g., Dark Stalkers, Warzard), and you can spend more time for Square-Enix characters (well, they don't have sprites in fighting games lol).  btw, I see two versions of Cloud...  Are you working on two versions of Cloud (one from game, and one from a movie)?  Anyway, they look cool as well.  ;)


looks like this project is well organized.  It's good that you work with your close friends (well, if people work on projects with someone else (and strangers), they always end up arguing or fighting....  in my opinion...  And I don't like arguments...)

Anyway, good luck on this project!  I support your project!   %%- :) ^^(PM)^

If it's Vs. Capcom, I should suggest some other, lesser known Capcom games.  How about the Pilot from the 1940's games?  Or how about the robot from Sector Z?

There's more to Capcom than Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Megaman.

Sure, but I think the idea here is to use characters and games that a good chunk of people actually know. Those games you mentioned are pretty obscure; I've never even heard of them before today, and I assume a lot of people haven't heard of them either. No offense, but do you get my point?

if Capcom had not included a "jill valentine" in MVC2, and she had been in the examples I'm sure you would say that a bad idea. Personally, I liked the idea of the pilot of the game, 1940, attacks with firearms, a hyper with the plane, a world of possibilities, as they did with Jin.

this idea reminds me of Alfred Airman from the real bout fatal fury 2. he was a pilot but giving him a cool moveset he ranked in as a actual fighter. so i can see this but yet i as well agree with novasod in some factors. In mugen its always endless possibilities and when mvc2 put Jin in there it was definetly a good move cause they really made him believable as a bone hard fighter and not just a pilot of a mech. But on the same flip side , people remember Jin...i played 1940 games and i barely remember the pilots name. lol but it would be interesting if he is designed well and had some cool moves as mentioned. its cool to use characters unknown in gaming scene that go very unoticed and made fun and as well can even give a lil exposure to get people to go back and actually see that characters origins. But it can backfire cause if a character isnt popular in certain circles not as many people will care about that character. so its a 50/50 on that from both your perspectives but alas, designe, gameplay and fun factor will pan out if done pretty good.  :thumbsup: :thumbsup: to both of yall opinions.

Whatever you do, do not EVER add Kingdom Hearts characters. Not only because they're technically also owned partially by Disney, meaning they can't appear in anything that is outside a Disney crossover game, so it would strike as odd if Kingdom Hearts were to be featured in here.

*raises hand slowly*  so will Anime Battle Royal for mugen..42 characters playable, 2 dlc of the 40 , and 2 non playable aside from the 42.

so yeah its really never the amount of characters , its the execution of getting them all in and together and making it happen. In mugen anything its virtually possible...except getting someone a massage by a beautiful lady..... * slowly puts hand back down*

It's so cool to finally see someone do this!

Could use some more characters, though. Like a Cactuar (Gigantuar?), Crono, and maybe Magus, or Lavos as a Boss character. And from Capcom, definitely Viewtiful Joe, and more Street Fighters. Ada Wong is pretty cool, but maybe a more recognizable character from Resident Evil would be awesome as well.
