Seen it. A pretty awesome movie. Creepy, cool, and bizarre.

It was one of the wide sources that heavily influenced Silent Hill
I was just posting this for people not in the know of  how even the greatest of series are influenced from one source or another

like Star Wars, but ah, that's another topic for another time.

PS: since you already know about Jacobs Ladder let me tell you this

The "Bad" ending in Silent Hill 1
it pans out to show Harry lying dead in his car...the one that crashed in the begining of the game, he mearly coma dreamed the whole thing.

sound familure?  ;)

Ah, I see what they did there. :) Been a veryyy long while since I've played it. I hardly remember any of it. Probably wouldn't want to now though, very few games hold up to still being as great as we remember them to be. Like RE2, thought it was the greatest ever, got it not too long ago again for that reason. Man, was I disappointed. RE4 spoiled me. :P

Was odd, as I looked for this film for a long while at different video stores. Never found it in the Horror section, turns out it was always in the Thriller/Suspense section. Go figure. Do recommend it though, but might not be for ya if you're easily confused.

it's influenced by both Japanese and Midevil Stories. (or atleast, the original trilogy)
it's hi-tech space-age is only a mask around that.
too much to cover without brick-walling the hell out of this topic.

However, you gotta remember that the internet wasn't really around in the 70s, when Star Wars FIRST came out...I say this as unless there was an importing market for anime back then, George Lucas wouldn't have even known about Gundam til it came to US shores MUCH later. So, I personally don't think he got the idea from Gundam. It was simply one of those RARE occasions when 2 pieces of media just ironically have similar things in them, but neither took ideas from each other.

I didn't even bring Gundam up though.

I was talking about about Jedi Knights as Samurai ect.
James covered it better then I did.
and out-side of explaining my point better, these reviews are a good watch.
