Just some thoughts...

Hi there M.U.G.E.N peeps, before i start let me say I am completely retarted at the whole technical creation of M.U.G.E.N. I am however a massive Marvel fan and adore what has been produced so far with EoF.

I'm probably going to get slamed for this topic because there was one just locked very similar, any ways let me begin.

One of the main things that has always bugged me about MvC2 was the Marvel line up. What EoH has added is awesome but I always feel that part of the heart of the Marvel Universe is missing. When I read through all the suggestions in the "expanding the roster" thread i still felt like some key players were missed. I know that this is limited to available sprites etc.

Some key characters that "I believe" have been over looked are:

Heros
- Thor
- Daredevil
- Deadpool
- Namor
- Dr. Strange (saw new sprite which looks RAD)
- Invisible Woman
- Black Panther
- Hawkeye/Ronin

Villians
- Almost any Spidey villian (Electro, SHOCKER, Mysterio, Lizard)
- Red Skull
- Super Skrull
- Abomination - would be AWESOME
- Loki (male version)
- Kang
- Bullseye

Then there are so many support characters that are very important to the MU, some more so in recent times:
- Scarlet Witch
- Quicksilver
- Nightcrawler
- Black Cat
- Ghost Rider
- Electra
- Moon Knight
- Iron Fist
- Luke Cage

And some small characters to compete with MegaMan/Servbot/Roll
- Howard the Duck
- Imposible Man

I'm sure my rant has gone on long enough this is by no means a "we should put this character in" thread.
I'm just a big Marvel fan that wanted to share some thoughts.

Oh and do you think that a Giant Man or Wasp would be at all posible?

First off, you should keep in mind that there's a whole other side of characters that room is made for. Secondly, the game already has, counting the off-screen characters, 95 unique characters already. I checked. Plus, if you count Violent Ken, Evil Ryu, Wolvenom, Symbiote Punisher, and MvC2 Megaman, that's 100 characters in total. The Marvel side currently consists of 42 unique characters. That's more then enough for a full game, and there's even more characters, on both sides, on the way. Suffice to say, you should already be content with what you have, and should be grateful that you're getting more Marvel characters, even though there's already a heaping helping of them.

And, as Acey said while I was writing this post, who's going to create all of those characters you want?

You see, why topics like this usualy have problems is that, people dont realize how hard/time consuming it is to make a character.

First you have to make all the sprites, Punisher has 1465, Deadpool has 1289. Making a character is allot of hard work, because sprites are only half of the job, you then have to code the thing, and that is defently not easy.

It gets into some peoples head when they see stuff like this topic "geeze is this guy trying to start a game project and expecting people to just hand over characters without him doing anything?"

Allot of the times these topics are started by someone like that, they want this game and they think that trying to orginize it is enough, heck you dont even have a screen pack.

The point is, with mugen, if you really want something, your probably going to have to try to make it.

Now if you were going to try to start a full game project, your best bet would be to make a screen pack first, start working on a character and then see if anyone else is willing to contribute.

Because you are going to have to make the characters you want.

Just to point things out , Original Poster did say that he has no idea what character creation consists of  . So he probably really doesn't know that we dedicate hours & months of our lives creating this stuff . Yeah , Wolvenom may be about 1800 sprites when he is actually complete . I have 1500 for him now

Then there's the whole "licensing" issues regarding mugen property.

of the characters you've listed above exist, but they're made by other creators that either have their work exclusively for other projects like DCvM or MSH2 and so on, or they'd rather not have their work associated with IMT for various reasons.

Then there's that thing that happens when someone makes a character that didn't exist, then someone else decides to make that character too. Even though the moves may be different, because of the nature of said character, someone will call foul over something. I call it "Curse of the Batman".

First off, welcome to the forums.

Like the guy above said, there are pretty competent versions of Deadpool, Daredevil, Nightcrawler, Thor, and Electro out there, they just aren't a part of EoH.

I don't know about Giantman or Wasp, I personally would have a hard time coming up with a cool move set for either. Marvel is cool and all and a Luke Cage character would be awesome, but I'd really like to see more characters on the Capcom side.

I spose my biggest issue is from MvC2 including a character like Marrow and not one member of the Fantastic Four (yet they had Dr. Doom) 

I understand that there is a massive amount of work with creating characters, what I didn't realise however was the amount of politics like not sharing characters.

Does anyone else have a few characters in mind that they would think would complete the Marvel lineup?

Wow , I completely over looked that you were that new here . Welcome to the forum , & enjoy your stay 

We have all of the Fantastic Four in the EOh game , besides Invisible Woman .

Here's the thing , the mugen community is a lot of politics . You can't just use a character in your screenpack just because he exists . You can't just edit someone elses characters & release them . You have to get permission to do any of this .

As stated above , many of these characters are exclusive to other games in the community . We will never get Thor , & you really can't create another one . The Creator  of Thor is Loganir . He did such an amazing job making the character , that even if one of us did make another Thor for EOH , it would just fall flat .
