Everyone is important. It is like a pyramid of cards, or a old school clock. You take one thing away, and it fails.

I don't think this is very important at all. I've seen so many people just blurt out ideas but won't make characters or go through with the ideas in some other form it's not even funny. Feedback is acceptable, though.
Punctuation and capitalization can make the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse," and, "I helped my uncle jack off a horse."

92% of people have moved onto rap. If you're part of the 8% who thinks rap isn't music, sucks to be you.

Most newer stuff sucks, though.

Most Infinity Creators are all of the above. Its us smaller guys who do things between creators.

None of the above. It's the voice actors who are the most important and critical element of the community. Ask anyone.

he forgot about you voice actors...without you guys like Banshee or GG would be mute...
But still, everyone has it´s own importance in the community, but remember that the most aspects a creator covers, the more important he/she is

Yeah. If Kirby just did this.

It wouldn't be as good without sound. Sound is important. If it was like this.

HAAAAAIIIIIIIII!!!

It would be very excellent.

Never been crazy about voice acting to be honest. I know it has its place, but I go for sounds from TV, Movie, or video games 1st. Voice acting is a last option for me, but I know some teams will only use Voice Actors.

I like to use voices from , TV , movies , games , or cartoons also . I think it gives people a sense of famaliararity . If there is a Joker character I want him to be the voice I'm used to , Mark Hamil . No offense to any voice actors , but I've heard Hamil's voice as Joker for about 15 years . You can't compete with what I'm used to .

In my opinion no one is important in mugen . Everyone is expendable . If I just up & quit spriting one day , there will be a new guy that comes in & takes my place . Possibly even better than me . The Mugen world is like a revolving door .

In perfect seriousness, I find characters who employ samples taken from existing movies and TV shows to be pretty sad; their voices almost always have bits of music or sound effects from the original series audible in the background, the quality is poor and scratchy in most cases, and worst of all, there's no real "spark" to them: You can't write your own dialogue for them, appropriate to the situation. No custom intros or win quotes, no taunts or curses which are your own inspiration or creation. You're limited entirely to scavenged bits of audio taken out of context and at minimal quality.

It's always kind of sad and pathetic to listen to. I mean, when you put them next to an original Capcom character (for example) with their crisp, clear diction, the difference in quality is really striking, and they tend to come across as sloppy as a consequence.

There's a load of characters I've been working on lately (Green Goblin, Crashman, Galactus and others) here at IMT, and others (Savage Hulk, Sinestro and Electro) over at Scruffydragon where I've done a lot of work to write good dialogue for them as well as perform it appropriately, and which I'm just aching to have released so I can see what people think. All of the characters I've had a hand in so far have been characters which I came into involvement with so late in the game that it was too late to have any significant impact or creative control over, but the six characters I've done voice work for and which have yet to be released... they're something special.

Mind you, I've also gone out and spent a couple of hundred on good audio equipment so I can get top-notch audio out there. Someone using some scratchy, ten dollar microphone wouldn't be able to produce vocals which sound any better than audio clips hacked apart from some downloaded TV show.

1st off I dont hack anything. I use a Korg Sampler that cost a lot more than a couple hundred dollars, and record into a Sony rack burner, and I feel people trying to sound like characters sounds a tad cheesey, and over indulgent at times. I could care less if theres a little music or background music in there. I have thousands of dollars in audio equipment, and I still prefer Samples opposed to voice actors.

Not all people are trying to do a professional character thats exactly how Capcom would do it. Using audio samples isnt sad, having an ego about being a voice actor comes off that way.

Good luck to ya anyway.

Hey, that sounds cool. Nice stuff.

It depends; I will agree that trying to imitate an existing performance isn't a great way to go. For example, if someone were to ask me to do a Joker voice, I would not want to try to imitate Mark Hamil (Or Heath Leger or Jack Nicholson or anyone else), but simply try to give a good performance which seems true to the character.

I guess it comes down to a question of where your priorities are, then, and which elements you consider most important. I concede that I probably give this sort of thing more thought than most would.

Having an ego? Perchance I need to clarify: When I prefaced this past comment with "in perfect seriousness", I had hoped to communicate the idea that I had been less than perfectly serious earlier; I was, as they say, "joshing about".

Why, thank you! And the best of luck to you as well, kind sir! May good fortune rain down upon you and all of your days be filled with satisfaction and well-being!
