sup every1 its been awhile.

anyways im workin on a new patch for ryu.
making customized sprites from sf4 shirtless ryu.

anyways i got about 15 sprites done.

let me know here or send a pm..i was supposed to release it a long time ago.
IT STILL NOT FINISHED THOUGH so i dont wanna hear anyone complain.

i know the shading in ryu stomach is off. im gonna correct everything by release time.

again this patch is for REUS ryu since his ryu is my favorite ryu.

From what I can see here, it's just one sprite done. We will stick this in sprite edits until you show more progress. Like a stance or something at least

progress coming smoothly...i cant find the thread i originally opened.

the shading is a bit off and hes missing muscles.
gonna polish everything up as i finish all the hard parts.

update.

i redid the sprites the original ones i edited were gettin ugly.

only got a quarter of the sprites done. once i finish his body gonna go back and polish everything back up.

I agree...man i was stuck for a minute i couldnt proportion his body correctly but now its turning out ok.

BTW: if anyone wants the old CVS sprite swaps i did for ryu and ken. let me know ill post it up.

but ken is unfinished and ryu is done but needed some polishing. so if anyone wants it, ill upload it.

as i have mentioned the ken is not finished and needs polishing, ryu is pretty much except some minor crap.

I always wanted to make a shrirtless cvs ryu back in the day but my sprite skills were crap so ill be following this

Dont know if you are using the original sprites from TDS rips, warus, Kongs or who but Pots sprites would probably give best results since the guy pallette separated ryu and added a lot of edits

Now for the actual sprites it doesnt pop out right away but when you think about it you can see the bottom of his shirt coming below the belt and from the belt up it just dissapears. You could add some "spikes" on top of the blet that give the impression of his shirt being ripped so it makes sense for the bottom part to still be there... if im not makin myself clear lemme know XD

oh wow....i actually had VYN comment on my sprites.

yeh if you notice the first 2 pics of his stance..which is supposed to be his breathing animation,
you can tell the belt and the ripped dogi looks different then the other edits.

i figured i will make his body first. Once completed, go back and finish up his belt and pants.
also, if you look at the bottom of his pants you can see they are ripped. hehe

but yeh i completely understand what you are saying. yeh it looks like his waist blends in with his pants.
ill add the ripped fabric around his waist area for more detail also to show a clear separation between pants and stomach.

vyn..just a thought, with the new ryu sprites and your coding skills i think this can be a one hell of a crazy character.

btw..im just using POTS....and im just going along in order and editing the sprites.
i have the walking and some kicks and punches done as well.
im gonna completely edit his hurricane kick to look more like SF3 as well as his grab and throw sprites.
the SF3 grab and throw sprite animation that RYU and KEN do just seem to have more impact when they slam opponents.
For some reason POTS sprites look very clean as well....i dunno...maybe its just me..

Probably because Street Fighter IV was the only game where he had a shirtless alternate outfit.

Ok then thats great, i remember pots is missing two frames in his ryu (maybe more but im only aware of those) one is in his crouching strong punch, you can compare with warusakis for a quick check and the other i dont remember heh... neways good luck and keep at it

Also the "T" symbol doens´t fit, after all he surpassed the "evil hadou" already.
