what do you mean?

it used to look like this, but with names and a timer. in simul mode a mini version of player 2 (kinda like in the guilty gear games, but not moving) would be to the side of player 1's portrait, and their lifebar wasn't visible. I removed the names and the mini P2.


I cut off that ugly "SNK TIME" thing. I also changed the combo font from the giant ugly orange numbers and words that said "06 RUSH!" or something to something a little nicer, and placed it on the super bar.



eventually I'm gonna add icons to the top for your teammates portraits instead of that little mini guy I was mentioning and have the portrait for the active player be animated (like the EOH lifebars were gonna be). I'm also gonna split the lifebar for simul mode so both guys on the team can actually see how much health they have, and I'm gonna change all that "ROUND 1!, FIGHT!, KO!" stuff, as it's still giant, orange, and ugly right now. I just haven't found anything I like yet. eventually it might look somethign like this, but prettier:




I changed the original annoying announcer to the one from SFIII third strike, and because my mugen fights are only one long round instead of two (makes bonus rounds work properly, and makes the fights seem more epic), I removed the win icons (these lifebars used to have ugly ones that piled up on the side of the screen vertically) and replaced them with a number that appears after two wins (still need to find a nicer font for that, right now it shared the timer font), so that it won't show up in regular fights, but you can keep track of how many people you beat in survival mode.

I figured I'd do it as a personal edit, then if it turns out nice I might ask the originator of the bars I'm using as a starting point if I can release them.

I've never really done any of this stuff before, so it's all trial and error.

I use the Eve Battle Lifebars with the Mugen Extreme 2 Screenpack and I use the CVS2 Announcer instead of the announcer the Eve Lifebars come with.Anyway What I love the most about the Eve Lifebars is at the time above it,it says EVE Battle.It makes it feel like it's a grand crossover fighting game.
