In the vein of constructive criticism, your sprites confuse me. Or at least the one that you posted in this thread does. I didn't really look at the ones in your signature.

Half of your sprite is jpeg quality, and looks like its actually a re-sized picture of the character. The other half of the sprite, that actually looks like it was drawn, needs a lot of work on the shading. You're falling victim to the fading effect, which basically comes down to running identical lines of different shades of your palette until you get to the lightest shade.

Work on these two things and you'll be well on your way.

Need to work on your shading. Instead of just using a fading style of shading, until you get to your lightest shade, try working with shadows and not outlining your sprites.

Are you planning on making your own characters eventually or just sprites? Just curious.

Also, what would you think about making them a tad bigger, so that you can make them look a little more realistic, or will you stick to your current style? Again, just curious. You're pretty darn good there.

Which version of Kyo? I've been trying to find the sprites of that particular one.
