Oh dear god did I HATE that song from MvC2! In fact, the whole soundtrack sounded totally alien to the game, like someone wasn't watching what they were doing and it was meant for another game.

Maybe I am just a buzzkill, but the original Arcade version was released in 2000, with the PS2 and XBox versions in 2002/2003. It's been 6 years from the last release. Wouldn't it have more sense to create a Marvel Vs Capcom 3?

I am just hoping they include the possibility of 1v1 and 2v2 play, since that would GREATLY increase it's playability and longevity, and who knows, maybe even a chance for some DLC characters.

*sigh* I can dream, can't I?

Well, if nothing else, I have my MUGEN. :-)

Cyclops infinite was pretty hard to pull off, don't know how that guy can do it so easily.

yeah infinites need to go or this game i will definitely not play wth some ppl. i prefer more straight up fighting. those who no real skill choose to infinite

Well, it seems to me that they are going through and retooling the characters.

Noticed how they only really focused on Wolverine and Ryu? I mean yeah, Ryu and Wolverine are the most recognizable characters from each respected franchise (don't debate this, Wolverine was voted most popular Marvel Franchise character of all time last year), but they never showed their teams members actually fighting. Plus, there assist team was always the same in all of the footage that they used.

I think they're going through the system and working on removing all the dirty code. Perhaps this release will even be the new standard for Tourneys.

i doubt they're doing that.

at any rate, it seems to take skill to do those infinte combos, so I don't think people who have no skill rely on them.

Me too. In fact, I stopped to expect anything MvC from Capcom for years now.

Don't be too quick to write it off.

It's being presented in Widescreen and in HD, plus they have to work in Online play, which means it can't just be a port.

There's a bright side to this, though: Thanks to SonSon appearing in the game, public awareness will be raised and Capcom will bring the Famicom version of her grandfather's game to the Virtual console in the U.S.!

from the blog post that they made, I got the impression that those things were quick fixes that were easy to implement.

for all those who dont or didnt know, there releasing the offical MVC2 arcade stick on July 10. the game THEY SAY will be released that same week, just like they did with SF4

i know imma get raped in it but i dont care i just wan to play and try to get good at it with the best controller imo. i know i play colossus, magneto, and Servbot (or Rubyheart and my favorite character Marrow plus many many more)
