Might as well post it here too. My last wip and second on my priority list, special thanks to gm spectre  :





She's a funny one to sprite and a nice break from havok so expect some quick updates here.  ;D

Uche : yes, GM. The one who's making that UFG project. He did a spritesheet of Boom boom a long time ago (the sprite just above comes from it) for his project and granted me permission to improve these a little (yeah i'm stupid, i even ask when using open source stuff ^^) ^^

Thanks anyway, she'll be a fast wip (since i learned how to work without loosing too much time and how tu use fighter factory with havok) but i'll try to have some quality here.
I might even try to do some dynamic palettes (will test that later tonight)

Then may I give you a few suggestions(S), ideas(I), & questions(Q):
  • (S)Boom Boom should be able to throw miniature plasma explosives.
  • (S)For a hyper give Boom Boom the ability to throw timed plasma explosives, then if the explosives attach she crouches and covers her ears and waits for the timer to go off.
  • (I&Q)In Mutant Agenda, I read that Boom Boom and Jubilee are usually quarreling with each other. Can you apply that in your WIP?
  • (S)Give Boom Boom an "In your face, loser" winpose.
  • Do you have any plans for special introductions?
  • (S)Have Boom Boom mischievously scatter her generated explosives on the ground.
  • (Q)Will she have her teammates as strikers?
  • (S)Give Boom Boom a winpose saying, "Can anyone top me? I don't think so."
  • (I)Ask someone who specializes in sound and voices to help you. You may be surprised in what he/she/they accomplish.
  • (Q) Are you sure you want to keep the name "Meltdown" and not change it to "Boom Boom" or "Boomer"?

I have plans for special intros but usually this is for latter. But she will interact with cable and a few other... As for jubilee not sure, will see that with anvil someday. And the kentucky boy should appear somewhere...

As strikers no. I'm trying to avoid using strikers in my chars. But part of an hyper maybe. I'd like to see moonstar and rictor somehow.


For the matter of the sound, i hope i'll find someone later to do some originals one. The lines you suggested work for me, if the sound is custom be sure they will be used.

And on the name topic, to explain it simply, i first named this char files boomer, then i came to doubt if her alias when she was wearing this outfit was boomer or meltdown so i putted meltdown as a displayname. Then someone told me yesterday it was later so i'm back to boomer or boom boom. It will be corrected in the next screenshots, as the mini portrait which is obviously too small.

i tihnk you should have boom boom's "time bombs" to work like Gen's Shitenshuu move from the Street Fighter Alpha Series, with the counter above their head and then once it reaches zero they are dizzied or knocked down/out.

Indeed, to me joe madureira was one the of the artist for the x-men back in the days. I really liked his designs. And re-reading the sabretooth arc gave me an idea for a third hyper.
Now i'm trying to find a way to use the beyonder for an intro (something making reference to the second secret wars).
