Agreed...awesome release ChAoTiC,i need to stop playing other games and test Bass after all...i might test it tomorrow,which is ironically my b-day

EDIT:Judging on the responses,i don't believe iori's voice will fit bass...have you thought of Bass.EXE from the Rockman.EXE Anime? I think that in the movie(and as well the show) his laugh was quite evil iirc...i'll check the video of the movie soon and if you need it,i can give you a link to it
I know they are too different characters,but due to the lack of voices for him,it could work... :)

I tested Bass a few moments ago:
*Good job on the effects...i don't know about the hyper BG with Bass's face...that might need some touch ups
*As pointed before,his timing for air combos is kinda iffy

The rest have already been covered in a better fashion guess... =D>
*Iori's laugh doesn't fit Forte at all... :D
If you have the Rockman.EXE movie(The program of Light and Darkness,quite cool yet short)  Bass.EXE's laugh that you could use to replace Iori's is aprox at the end of the movie...i can hook you up to the movie if you need it... :)

K, after playing with him a bit more, he feels a bit sluggish. Does not combo easily at all, and some of his basics seem to lag.

Also, the Cresent Kick Special's clsn box is too small, the animation looks like it connects when code wise it misses. Also, when it does hit, it should knock the opponent further back than it does.

Bass already looks spectacular, but he has potential to be so much better gameplay wise.

EDIT: Will Bass eventualy have an "EXE OUT" Hyper attack or form?

Congrates on the release man. I'll comment on some of the aesthetic stuff because I didn't notice too much different from Zero's original build.

First off, the new sprites look great. The inclusion of treble is cool, too. He could use a bit more an an idle stance though. something simple would work, like moving his head up and down a few ticks.

The flashing face in the hypers would really be best as a hyper combo finish BG IMO, as it is, it's just too much.

I, too, made a portrait for Bass, the stretchiness of the original was painful. Here it is if you haven't checked the portraits thread.


overall a nice update, it's cool to see how this character has developed since it was started so long ago.

Well, what about changing the pitch on it to make it sound more like him? That's an idea.

I'm having a great time with Bass, he's a real "feel good" character.

Y'know...while infinites are categorically bad, I definitely like the idea of being able to spam his blaster-shot at least to some extent, being that it is (as of Rockman & Forte / MegaMan & Bass) supposed to be way, way faster than Rock's blaster.

Maybe have it operate in something like "clips", such that he can only fire (say) six shots before having to "reload", or roughly the same thing explained as "overheating"?

new infinite with bass found and by the way chaotic his infinites i think are cuz of the blaster move where he shoots three shots. Video will be posted once i get to the internet

Quick thing, but I think he shouldn't be able to spam his rapid kicks in the middle of an air combo.  As in, he's able to use the rapid kicks more than once in mid air, and it looks sorta sloppy.
