everybody has they own opinion.Honestly,Dont be a hater though.I can tell u havent play with them before or tested them against other characters,otherwise you wouldnt be saying that.They are 2 great that get a lot of praise on mugen forums.You're one of the very few that thinks they're "crappy"

The thing is that Lord Ryu is an God orochi sprite swap...although he looks like Ryu in the outside,the coding is from God Orochi,so that´s why he´s a sprite swap...

1. take God orochi.
2. swap his sprites for Ryu's (without even a good palette fix)
3. change his def name.
4. dont change any code, anim or other stuff-...(appart from that lord ryu is an ilegal "edit")
result: Lord Ryu!!!

so if u take omega thom hanks and u swap his sprites for ken's thats gonna be Omega Ken???

I did have Super Ken and tried it out when I first started Mugen (murdered everyone in my roster with him) and got rid of him right away cause hes a broken piece of crap. I'm pretty sure the same would happen if I tried Lord Ryu out (lame butt name btw

). He looks even more broken. Anyway, everybody has their own opinion like you said. I don't use broken lord demon god shin mean lvl 2 chars so...

eh there is some major hating going on here.

So what if something is a sprite swap. It's not that simple to make it work. Lord Ryu is a nice char def. Unique. A great idea! I don't quite understand why one would not consider him a RYU. There is so much swapping and borrowing in Mugen it's unreal. I mean look at Lauren. He has Marco's sprite in one of his attacks...

Edits are illegal? Gimme a break! Edits are not "illegal" Mugen is not law. Do you have the number for the Mugen police? I'd like to call them and report you....

Edits are a fun way to get into your own mugen. You may share them or not. Sure you may anger a creator or if the creator is cool like P.O.T.s and understands we are just dealing with sprites someone else created he may even make the creations open for people to edit...If you have not done so I highly suggest you break the mugen laws and have fun editing your own chars. Little known fact is if you want a nice mugen game almost every single char requires an edit in one small way or another otherwise they will not work well when you actually play...Do you actually play?

It is not true that the creator of lord Ryu did not edit the God Orochi's code. I chatted with him recently and he even added a move so that is simply not true....

With this said I agree with the comment about Mega Weapon's super armor. He has no place in my Mugen. But Kanna does (another super armor wearer). So does Super Ken. He is just damn cool during second and third round and a great challenge. Far from crap....

God Orochi is an edit of Ahuron's Orochi nwayz....

Super Ken isn't all that hard actually.
I find Evil Ken by Reubenkee way harder.
I also think Evil Ryu by vyn is harder then most others I fought.

Thats the way they making it seem.Like you gonna go to jail or something for editing other characters and sprite swaps etc.

To me Mugen is entertainment and as long as two characters aint exactly alike,it doesnt make a difference to me.Super Ken and Lord Ryu are great characters and Im pretty sure most people will agree.

actually it's funny reezy718. I am a fighting game purist. I would prefer a balanced Mugen. Without all the shin evil stuff etc. That's just me. So I am actually very close to how fellows like BigJ Maran~Sama feels personally. Joe the guy who edited Zvil from Evil Ryu is of course my polar opposite. But we get along. We have great times playing XMugen. I am just calling it like it is. I would never give up the amazing experiences I have had fighting some of the more broken chars (i would not play as one mind you and in some ways I consider Evil Ryu broken> Why? He is so well made he has so many more abilities attacks compared to most mugen fighters...) So they for the most part make it in my mugen.

I think that is one of the cooler aspects of Mugen. Capcom or SNK would have never made these over the top chars. It's just another great aspect!

yea that demon akuma is unbeatable.I dont think anybody in mugen can defeat him.another thing heres what I think is the best ryu ken and akuma now(not counting demon akuma)

I ain't participating in any debates or arguments whatsoever...

Well... if its all about something...

Best (IMO) in gameplay and a special award:
Ryu - MvC Evil Ryu by Vyn = Definitely one of THE BEST playing Ryus, or should I say one of THE BEST PLAYING shotos i've come across for this year. Never have i experienced some really fun gameplay and such with a VS Series character as that of Vyn's MvC Evil Ryu.

Ken - Violent Ken by Lord of The Flies = As much as I LOVE LotF and his God Rugal Creation, this guy is also quite a shiner for me. His gameplay is incredible and is quite easy to play. A very good character to use to amp up your time XD.

Akuma - Rare Gouki/Demon Akuma by POTS = Never have I experienced an intentionally cheap character who give as much laughs as POTS Rare Gouki/Demon Akuma would give. ALMOST Everything you want for a broken character is all here - Infinite attack priority, cannot be put into custom states, parry state by simply moving forward, Infinite Super energy, his grapples can be done on opponents in any of their states, and many more. Aside from the intentional cheap codings, never have I experience an amount of laughs that a mugen character, more specifically a shoto can bring. POTS Definitely made a monster out of himself this time with such a wonderful monstrosity!
