The outcome was accurate.  Almost.  In fact, I don't believe Himura would've lasted as long as he did.  One, serious strike from Zoro would have shattered Kenshin's blades almost instantly.  Characters within the One Piece universe are portrayed as being larger than life; much larger.  Zoro, especially post-time skip Zoro, would've taken victory with a single strike--in less than 3 minutes, seconds even.
