Not a new game ... But still kinda cool.

Capcom Executive Producer Yoshinori Ono-san himself, dressed as a horrifyingly convincing Chun-Li, made the announcement following a teaser trailer. Titled Darkstalkers Resurrection, this downloadable collection bundles Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3 together for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

Resurrection will cost $14.99 on PSN and 1200 MSP for XBL.

Darkstalkers Resurrection will feature HD graphical filtering and a new Challenge/Tutorial mode. Furthermore, the well-loved GGPO netcode returns and promises seamless online play. Capcom explained that Darkstalkers Resurrection also has various spectator modes, YouTube replay uploading, and enhanced matchmaking.

Most importantly, Ono-san noted that Darkstalkers Resurrection was the very first step in Capcom's journey to revive the Darkstalkers franchise. We can expect to see more games from this series in the future, including an entirely new game in the same vein as Street Fighter IV.

Darkstalkers Resurrection will launch in early 2013.

true bro very true! hey didn't they was coming out with a 3d version game, with 3d characters like sf4 type? i swore i seen a image somewhere of some screenshots.

It's probably one of two things:
1.) fan made pic
2.) SFxT mod

hmm good points bro on the fan pics probably but this was way before any sf x tekken ever was thought of. The characters i saw was 3d mods of morrigan and Talbain fighting. yeah i am gonna have to go on a mission now to see if i can find those old pics i seen years ago. This was not too far off from when sf4 was about to come out.

don't worry, capcom will check out if fans of Darkstalkers still exist with this game before releasing a cool one, obviously it will work, and we'll have a good new game soon
