Hey all, sup I'm prnzo, I'm on a rare day where I feel like goin on a forum in a community I should definitely be more an active part of. When I can get a hold of the meds I've needed for years of self-medicating, I should be able to do that. So, I was wondering...

I was very influenced growing up by 8 and 16-bit soundtracks, and the last couple years I've found myself evoking a lot of that stuff in these Fruity Loops tunes that I give ridiculous titles to and are of anywhere from 10-30 min. a length a piece. So from what limited understanding I've gathered so far these probably fall into the category of "chiptunes", although mine is a mix of realistic and, well... "boop-boop beep-beep".

So, I was wondering given the recent topics in here, would anybody be interested in hearing any of mine? Most of the time the tunes go for the sentimental or dramatic, but also get weird, hardcore, etc. and if you don't like a certain part, wait a minute or skip ahead and you got a completely different part in most songs.

Just puttin it out there...

edit: Until I figure out the video image w/ audio track playing here's one of my recent ones for anybody that doesn't mind downloading the file...

edit2: My song lengths are too long for YouTube without having to pay or whatever. Here's a different song if anybody wanted to hear.

..and I apologize for the length and that I didn't break up my songs into smaller ones, for some reason they feel "right" to me at their ridiculous lengths.

Well you could upload it to youtube.com and then copy and paste the URL at the top into your post.

Add the audio track to any video editing software and save it. I usually do this in Sony Vegas along with an image.

that is a cool song! unforunately my stuff is a little more plodding compared to that, and that song I put up doesn't have the buildup I wanted, what should've been the ending is near the middle. But I have others that succeed in that respect, if anybody liked that flawed tune I could put up others. But if it's like "boo! go back to the drawing board!" then I dunno

What program/other stuff did you use for that?

I edited the original post with a link to a different song. Unfortunately most of my songs are too long for YouTube without having to have a premium account or whatever. So if anybody is curious enough, there it is. If this is necro-bumping, I was told it wasn't but I apologize if that's the case.

. What most people don't know about the condition, is that it allows for exorbitant amounts of focus when you medicate with the medication I should have and will soon, or say, caffeine when it works right... it gets to the point where you want to do the thing you're workin on forever and you sometimes face a crushing depression with the prospect of stopping (I think that might be just if you're bipolar, which I am also)... but anyway, that's how these songs get done. But if you notice, even though it might bring some themes back, it doesn't stay on the same thing for too long, and changes to something that has not much to do with the part that came before. But I do think of them as coherent songs that begin and lead to something. So when you're done tell me what you think, criticism welcome!
