Ya know, Sega IS capable of making decent Sonic games as of late. Ever played Colors or checked out Generations?

Plus, as impressive as this looks, I'm worried that the control might be worse

I played it. It's okay, not as polished as unleashed or colours, but it's not bad.

Things need improving though, like the homing attack physics, and the fact that if I fall into a bottomless pit, I CAN'T DIE.

The Generations demo? Yeah I think it was the pre E3 build so I'm sure it's much improved

Yeah I know. I'm just saying if one dude can get this far, why can't an entire  team deliver on a good quality game? Colors was definitely a step in the right direction but the 2.5D platforming was a bit rough. I pray that Generations is the game we've been waiting for and a sign of great games to come.

Huh, I thought it was an edit of an already existing fan-made Sonic engine (forgot the name, had the word Blitz in it). Guess I'm wrong.

Weird how you say the 2d platforming was weird cause that was my (and a lot of people I know) favorite parts of the game.

Look on the bright side though, no matter how the games go, they always have awesome soundtracks (Chronicles being an exception)

Well, TBH, I didn't like coulour all too much. A lot of the levels were really unenjoyable. (I mean, that food level...)

Unleashed's Daytime levels were much better designed. (no idea about the 360 version of unleashed though.)

1) It is, it's an edit if Sonic Blitz.

2) The 2.5D sections felt stiff controlled. The physics were still controlled by the 3D parts so being precise was alot harder then it should have been.

3) The music is probably the only thing that can't go wrong. I even like Sonic R's soundtrack.

360/PS3 Unleashed always felt too slippery to me (Regular Sonic that is, I've only played the demo), which is why I prefered the Wii Unleashed (plus I've been told the Werehog levels were SLIGHTLY better in the Wii version) and Colors.

@ Gansta - So what you're saying is you're feeling the sunshine and it brightens up your day?

Don't you know that sometimes, I just need to run away dawg.

Man, took awhile the get the hang of some of the physics, like perpetual still motion (run sonic in a wall and he'll gain speed even though he's not moving) and WASD being the main controls. I switched it the the arrow keys though, much better.

Downloaded it. Can't wait to try it at home.

I'm still psyched about Generations, though.

How'd you switch the controls to the arrow keys? I went to the config but I couldn't figure out what to type to make things the arrow keys.

also: When you fall of a ledge, do you die, or fall forever?

1) edit the config.xml with notepad. look for [button="w"]. The use the arrows put "up arrow", "down arrow", "left arrow", and "right arrow". If you wanna use the numlock use Num 8, num 2 or 5, num 4 and num 6.

2) yeah, you fall forever. You can use the home key to reset to the last checkpoint at any given time. I do hope he includes a kill volume down there in later versions so that it actually kills you, no sense having lives if you can't die.

EDIT: Finally playing with a controller, alright man. I am digging this.

i dont know if something special happened to me but when i downloaded it and started it up...
-i couldnt move my cursor (and if i tried it moved a little and went back to where it was)
-i had lots of trouble closing it via task manager (using my keyboard only)
-i had to unplug the computer to close the window
-when i came here i was loged out (i expect i'm loged out of everything)
-camera moved (dramaticly) everytime i pressed any button
-sonic moved in random directions + walked sideways
-sonic would disappear and reapear in a random place every couple seconds
-sonic had no hands

i would be very worryed if i did anything with money on this computer

huh, the mouse does lock when the game launches since it's the 2nd camera function. However, none of that other stuff should happen. Also, using the escape key should also and secondly exit the game period.

Maybe it's the build of Windows you're running.

What versions of Windows does Dimensions support?
