well as for the working issue  it could be the char just needs to be updated,is an error message ive seenor ive seen character is newer than this version of mugen error message /:O,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,as for the stages i have well over 300 plus stages on my 1.0 hi res and low res and all of them work, hope i could help

nice thanks for the quick reply... I'm still puzzled about characters though... I spent much time too making edits of some characters for personal use, and I was thinking if they'd have errors in 1.0...

Would it be within community 'rules' (shakey as they are) to upload converted versions of SPs and stages if you give full credit to the original author?

It can be low Low-Res

What do you mean?
As far as I've seen every low res char would look pretty bad in there.

They look the same as always. However a char looked in winmugen it should look the same now.

yeah i havent had any trouble puttin some of the characters i had into 1.0 at all. just maybe a few were gettin the error but those characters i barely even played with. they were old too. I am using the RC8 version. Its an Hloader screenpack. everything pretty much looks crisp and the characters look pretty good.
So i am pretty much gonna leave winmugen plus  alone  at the moment and use it for testing purposes only. thanx for the update elecbyte.

I know someone amended E Ken and Ryu AND Dragonclaw, and put it on the Elecbyte forums.

Well, I will give my opnion:

I'm against any patch (in fact, I really HATE "patches") without consent of the original creator or if he is open source. If you wanna patch something, contact the original author and send the patch to him. Its more respectful.

If anyone wanna makte patches about my chars, please contact me.

Wasn't Reu's works updated to 1.0 by POTS?

There is another thing with chars who their creater decided to not only use x and y for their chars possition and/or velocity but they also decided to utilize "z". I for one never used this in my chars and I don't know many who have

Its not a matter of decision, its a matter of feature. Z plane were always underrated by mugen creators, and we can reach some cool stuff using it.
PDC uses it and, saddly, Elecbyte removed it. This is only one of some mistakes made by Elecbyte in 1.0.

Yeah, I don't like Mugen 1.0 THAT much, and I am not liking 1.1 even more. They are getting away from the original mugen concept: to make it easy and be playable by everyone, not based on effects which will required more and more tough graphic boards...

*prays Virtualltek notices that it's a full release and makes FF3 1.0 compatible* I know he made a little tool for 1.0... but... we need Fighter Factory 3 to be 1.0 compatible now that 1.0 is complete. I just didnt use it before b/c it wasnt complete and didnt want my characters flying across the screen randomly. lolz!

Its better to not pray like that, lol. First, his motivation with mugen is very low at the moment.
second...well, I won't bring more bad news.

I was already onboard with Mugen RC8 which was a great release by Elecbyte - Converting old chars to 1.0 is a snap & takes me about 3 min to convert (Minus the AI) - Being able to have a real trigger to detect the stage your characters are on is a blessing - I now have about 9 interactive stages/chars finished for my game - Hopefully mugen 1.1 will have a trigger or mode built in for tag team matches - Then i'll really be fighting in style @-)

Theses are awesome news. 1.0 is better in a lots of ways than Mugen plus, instead the oldie one is my personal fav.

However there're a couple of chars (and i talking about really good chars) which don't work in the recent updated engine, by example Banshee  :'( i hope an upgrade of him soon  ;*))

I can also see that due to the new screen size (which can be put back with a little 1 minute tweak of mugen.cfg) a few full screen attacks might stop short, but most are big enough to still take up the room.

Anyone know of a good 1.0 screenpack that can hold 300 to 400 chars? That would be a great help in making my upgrade from Winmugen.

Well, I've recently discovered necro_rk's Neon sp and decided to wait for his 528 slot patch. However, I did try the EvE sp and would continue to use it, if it had better win-quote support. (besides, I doubt I'm gonna need 1000+ slots)

Thanks anyway, though. ::salute::

I'm trying to convert right now, but every set of lifebars I try that are made specifically for 1.0 are too big! Does anyone know what's going on? (If it's of any importance, I made the screen size 1280 x 1024)
