  I mean, originally he could fly, but he wasn't a plane! He was a friggin' gun! I have seen him as a tank and a cannon though in the modern shows. But I've never seen him as a freaking truck! WTF is that about?

yeah man a truck?  , they lost me with that one. in the transformers movie he started out as his original look, a gun, once optimus whipped his butt he got transformerd into a triple changer by unicron. he could become a cannon, a spacejet fighter and a full on robot. but a truck? thats outta nowhere with that one.

I mean Optimus Prime? Truck with only a couple car forms(And Primal is all gorilla)
Soundwave? Alternates between ground vehicle and fancy space-jet, with only a couple of new toy molds following his G1 tapedeck(though all of them except for movie have a tapedeck chest in robot mode.)
Starscream? Always a plane except for one toy.

The point? Does it really matter if Megatron gets yet ANOTHER altmode?

A truck isn't really that menacing though. That's my biggest problem with it. Should have been like a Tank or something.
