If I buy a Gamecube game from Japan will it work in a US Wii console?

Bannerbomb your wii, install the Hombrew channel and then install a backup launcher with multi region compatibility

I got my Wii Bannerbombed. Its really minimal risk, just find someone that knows what they're doing. Then all you need is an external HD to put games in and you can rip/download games and play them on your Wii without having the disc, as well as making your Wii region-free.

I didn't have a clue what I was doing and I did it just fine. Just bought an SD card, and followed a few steps I found. Plus you can just restore it and any warranty or thing like that is fine. Never would have gotten TvC without it.

If you decide to do it, just get this thing called the Homebrew Browser. It has quite a few Homebrew things that will run GC games Region free, or even burn them to a disc and play them that way.
