It is a waste. . .somewhat, but it is definitely not a bigger waste due to the purpose of prison and them actually getting out of prison at some point. I consider paying for a murderer's food, water, room, services, and so forth, knowing good and well that he/she is never leaving prison more of a waste than paying for someone with a drug addiction to receive rehab and preparation for returning to life outside of a cell. I guess we see things differently though.

There's actually allot of people who were sentenced to life on drug charges thanks to the 3 strikes law in California here. It actually want until very recently that it was voted to give them treatment instead of prison. And in other states there are people getting life for minor charges cuz of that law.
If the system were changed so that people were actually getting rehabilitation instead of time in prison for minor charges, then we could actually have the prison system used for violent offenders. I don't believe we shouldn't use the death penalty because of how flawed the system is and how often innocent people have been put up on death row and were killed, only to have their innocents discovered later. Im brining that up because im assuming that if its a waste to keep feeding the murderer's to you, then you would rather them be put down.

WTF? Those Freakin monsters should have been killed on the spot. This is really horrible. I would gladly beat them to a pulp, then let them recover and repeat, then throw them to a wild animal like wolves or even bears. only 7. Well yeah, in that case, it is more of a waste. That is the way the prison system is meant to be; cannot say that it is always carried out correctly. The death penalty undoubtedly has flaws. The very situation you listed is the major issue I have with the death penalty. The only time I would ever say the death penalty should be carried out is when it is undeniably evident that said person is guilty. Even then, the argument would arise of where is that line that divides a chance of innocence and an irrefutable charge. I am personally indecisive when it comes to the death penalty. All I was providing before was an answer to your initial question and why this would be a "waste."

If your desire truly is to eliminate these scums from our planet, you have to first reevaluate your thoughts and methods. If you're "beating them to a pulp, doing it again and feeding them to animals" all you're really doing is using somebody who is already condemned to exercise your authoritative powers and strengths in a savage way. It doesn't matter how disgusting a kill the predator leaves behind, we must execute them humanely. It is a step in exorcising barbarism from our minds, which is the only way to completely remove the criminal element.

With that said, I don't think the death penalty is the way to go. Life in prison is a far worse punishment, something like an introduction to Hell.

Alright, I see your point. maybe that be a way to go but prisons now are full. thats why so many are up for parol before their actual time is served. cramping them all up maybe a way but it has a major flaw.
