Vista stopped liking me, assistance required.

I wasn't sure where to post this but I read up on some of the problems vista and mugen seem to have with each other but this seems to be the most annoying problem I have ever faced. It happened this week whenI download the marvel vs capcom 3 screen pack *the 100+ mb one with all the neat stages*

well when I go to load it up it tells me the application stopped working with this message under details.

well anyways I thought It was because it was too much for the cpu to handle so I reverted back to the original screenpack given whenyou first get mugen. but now I am getting the same message over and over. I fear this will eliminate my chances with playing super mvc come next month and I'm wondering what I can do to get mugen to run on my cpu again.

also, sometimes when I am playing the engine freezes and closes when I use ctrl+alt+del. does this happen to other vista players? 

oh and yes, I have tried the compatibility method but I'm afraid the errors stay the same.

so its not the engine being all goofy? hmmm, alright. I'll look into it.

I just tried a very default mugen with kfm still intact. it has to be a character or stage it won't load, all the stages had quotations or capitals so I rid of them all *probably meant for HD mugen anyways*. thanx again guys!
