Universal War - Heroes Super Battleclash, Full Game WIP

Hi everyone, long time no see you!

Well, some time ago, since I'm on mugen stuff (since 2007) I was thinking on a big proyect, somewhat weird and big... but maybe... just maybe.

Trying to learn more on how to get data, code and modify not just a character, but an entire game enviornment, I finally got what I wanted, a battle in which all known heroes will fight, of course with a comprehensive history that will join only certain people from the majority of the universes...

I got something: Universal War...



Game System:
This game is based on MUGEN engine, which means that you will be able to play in in your PC. Also uses Capcom's VS system, with some new adittions:

- Capcom VS system - MUGEN
A new system file is used as a common state support (vs-system.st) which has been changed to fit capcom's vs system (gethits and many other stuff) along with a new full game feature support in mugen: a master system helper, which controls many interactivity stuff in the game, combo messages / counting, winning quotes, player icons, final score, stage No. display and many other aspects (like metal sounds for metal like characters).

- Tag system:
More than one wanted to see this feature working on MUGEN, but no one have seen the complete tag system in action on this engine:
-- Tag Attack
-- Assist attacks
-- Alpha Counter attack
-- Dual Hyper attack
-- Delayed hyper combo
-- Snapback

All this along with capcom's chain system and super cancels.

Changed stuff includes the addition of the Hyper cancel system (known in KOF as Dream cancel) in which you can interrupt a hyper move with another different one, but only once you partner has been defeated, also you can do alpha counters even if your partner died, changing of course into any of your own super attacks (since you can't switch now) to give a more "chaotic" feel in the gameplay (yes I know MvC2 is enough chaotic... but what the heck!!!)

By now, the Screenpack is in a 87%, Roster on a 2% and stages on a 0.2% Nothing else by now, Select screen and fights are in HI-RES (using winmugen plus)

People considered are from capcom, marvel, snk, dbz, ki, DC and some hidden special chars (like KFM)

Almost forgot, all effects are used from the screenpack, so the sparks are universilized.

For some people that has been working around with the vs system file (you know who you are man!! :D) will be pretty useful to see this in action.

Obiously, before full game to be public, I'll ask permission first, and credit all people that will be involved into this.

P.D. sorry for crappy video... is dificult to record and play at the same time... if volume is somewhat low, raise your speaker volume (or windows volume properties). If the video says it no longer exists, wait to see it, they are still procesing it...

Wow thats freaking awesome man i like this project alot its kinda like something i had in mind. In the character data it said that Terry was mine but that does not look like mine, i mean the effects is different, moves, portraits...etc or maybe you made a mistake.  :DxDie

Wow thats freaking awesome man i like this project alot its kinda like something i had in mind. In the character data it said that Terry was mine but that does not look like mine, i mean the effects is different, moves, portraits...etc or maybe you made a mistake.  :DxDie

I'm looking for good sub-zero, more or less in capcom sprite style. I'll wait for yours to be finished, if so will be added :P

So you are saying you will be able to swap chars in middle of fights?
