So far I've only been drawing humans, I want to learn how to draw mechs like Gundam, Gurren Lagann, Iron-Man, any one know some good characters that can inspire me, I'm trying to come up with my own Iron-Man, I can draw him... No big deal, what sucks is that I can't seem to add anything original, mainly becouse I think Iron-Man is a fully developed character and he shouldnt be messed with, but I still want to make my own, keep it similar to Iron-Man, but not too similar, anyways, I don't know much about these designs becouse I never watch anything having to do with mechs, maybe you guys know a couple of kool looking mechs I could learn from... All I have to work with is, Gurren Laggan, Iron-Man, and some guyver dude that has a suit like Iron-Man, Gundam isnt exactly my taste becouse I like slimmer designs, like a suit, but anything will help, thanks!

Hey my friend i c folks here r leaving u hanging but i wont although their was bad blood but Rage has learned to contact his innercalm.

anyways

Y cant u draw  anything of ur own.  There's tons of things to get inspire: Game mags, Vid games, Tv, Anime Mags, Manga, movies etc.

4 me creating characters is an evergrowing thing. As i grow older, learn new things, experince new things so do my characters. Im always not really changing them but giving thing life and they grow too, like me.

Ive got a Female character who started out with digimon as her base 5+ years ago. Then I added things from KOS-MOS (Xenosaga) and P.N. 03 a year later. I redesighed her original outfit in 2006 to match the way my skill grown. late 2006 I added a mech type suit to go over her KOS-MOS armor. I watch things like Big O, Cowboy Bebop, Gundum, transformers, and so other anime but probably havent heard of. This years Iron man made be want to slightly change the mech armor. The Rock she rides in mech form changes into angel wings.

The thing that works for me is to get about 5+ sources so when draw my creation it has its own look.

The thing im getting at is take your time you will love your creation that much more and it will show, the time and deacation u put into to it.

Sorry to go on and on. :-@

anything u want to say or ask from 1artist 2 another.

Actually, I've been drawing for 8 years now, well I've been drawing all my life but I got serious about it 8 years ago, me and my friend just decided we would start with comics, but now we've moved on too actaully wanting to make an anime show someday, my drawing style changes, I swear, my hand is like a chameleon, it changes according to whats hot, like I remember yu-gi-og and shamen king and all that where the crap, so that was my style, then naruto came along, and just like that i picked that up, but now I wanna do something diffrent, something that lets my creativity explode, and after seeing Iron-Man, billions of Ideas went trough my head, and I've been watching TTGL, so that only fueld my crativity more, my friend and I where workng on an anime, but he droped his to start fresh, mine is more developed, so instead of droping it, I'ma incorperate my new ideas and switch it up a bit, We've made over 100 fully developed characters, all detailed on paper like the robot i showed u, but my friend gave our porject folder to his cousin in the filipins for insperation, it's all good though, my character is still the same person, only now he has a few new toys to play with, including an "Iron-Man suit"! I just need some more insperation, TTGL and Iron-Man are enough, but I just need to see what else is out there  and how I'ma make mine diffrent, 'couse I will make the best anime ever!!!!!!!!!  :w00t:

It sounds like uve hown ur skill preety and r abel to an sitution or style but do u have ur own style?

For inspiration try picking up an anime mag like  animarica or newtype. Mangas are a good source for images.

Here a pic of that KOS-MOS inspired armor (This is Copy Righted by the way)

Yeah, I have my own style, but if I wanted to, I cant switch it up in a heart beat! But my style is quiet unique, kinda like comic meets anime!

Just to show you, here's some of that Naruto style... I really can draw anything, and I've been drawing everything... except mechs, that's why i decided it's about time I started!

All I really need is some good mech designs, maybe a few pictures of diffrent characters, right now I'm trying to come up with my main characters suit, I was thinking of combining Iron-Man with Gurren Lagann, I drew it, and it looks pretty cool, what I need is the face! Iron-Man's face is perfect, but it would look too much like him!

Hm. Since you're designing a power suit, you should check this place out for inspiration. http://mahq.net/

They have pictures of many different mechs, so there's a lot to look at.

If you're also looking to make your character one of those weapon toting badasses, you should look here for something awesome. http://dalong.net/review/mg/m102s/m102s.htm (gatling guns omg)

Well, imo I'd say that the concept of transforming that the Unicorn Gundam has would be pretty interesting for a power suit.
The left side is before, and the right side is after transforming.
You are now the final object of the 2538. Bring them together, and show us your smile.

This is exactly what I needed, and im a huge code geass fan too, my suit can pretty much do anything, kinda like how the FLCL robot always brings out a cannon from out his butt or his croch, or how the Gurren Lagann gets fixed automaticly when they are in trouble, something along this lines, it's pretty flexible and is powerd by imagination... lol!
