A compatibility question.

I wanna get a Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT videocard for my birthday.

My motherboard is an ASRock P4VM800 and is currently running a Geforce MX 4000 (sucks hard).

Is Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT compatible with my motherboard? I mean, nothing bad will happen if I try to install that videocard in my motherboard?

It is best to ask a professionals about that my friend try asking a representative at the store your buying it.
