Are they remaking child's play

I wanted to know are they remaking child's plays.I heard rumors that they was.I hope its a horror movie again because the last two(bride of chucky,and seed of chucky) was more of a comedy than a horror.It actually was a good comedy at though .comedy/horror.
Can somebody please let me know if they are remaking this movie

ha I dont see how they can remake it after the last two that came out cause now the voice actor for chucky is not even scary anymore(or will not be to me) and what sucks about that is no one else(to me) can do chucky justice in voice acting

 no cause its a remake of the original "childs play"  its not another sequel.  so hes not going to have a kid or a bride or no bull crap like that

wow...ANOTHER remake thats going to turn out like crap like every other remake. i swear...when are we going to have REAL directors with their OWN ideas make movies. man do i miss movies from back in the day. this remake is going to suck simply becuase the directors of the last 2 chucky movies are going to make it.
