Good thing I'm an Avatar fan 
But before it even started, I really thought that Toph would be beaten
But I love the results tho, their explanation really makes sense that Gaara couldn't beat Toph !

To be honest i never been an Avatar fan...i just liked that show, but wow....she's really shows him who's the boss of earth.

Not surprised at all by the outcome. As much as i love naruto anime and garaa is a total beast, he is outclassed by Toph by miles. Even without their stats i knew Toph was gonna win. She has way many advantages to counter Garaa , for which she is a master manipulator of Earth period. A justified  win for Toph in my book also.

I wasn't sure about who was gonna win, because as tough as Toph was, Gaara had that monster inside him. But since I don't really watch Naruto, I didn't know that the monster was removed, otherwise I'd have no doubts.

The outcome was easy to predict. And I like it. As much as I like people's rants related to this and other Death Battles. Men! They are so intense when defending their beliefs about who's the strongest is the subject.

nanhh garaa actually doesnt do much mobile fighting. He is a defensive fighter and relies on the sand to do all the attacks and defense. He has always been like that.  Toph is almost same as garaa but she dont rely on chakra to control her abiities. She can keep on going as long as she wants or can. Once garaa low on chakra...its a wrap
Plus toph controls more elements than he does And she is more versatile in using them.  She is more agile than garaa too since he stays mostly stationary. As much as i like Garaa i know he is quite outclassed by her in earth control and its varients. Its a good battle tho.

Foot speed no, but when on sand (flying), then yes he is as fast as other character (tho character speeds do vary greatly from one another.). I too love Garra, he is my favorite Naruto character. But even she had to admit the skills difference is huge between them. Toph my fav Avatar character and i can def say going up against one of my favs from Naruto ( other than Rock Lee and Hinata ) i tried to evaluate  the match up and possibilites. In the end she does what you say Rage...She controls Garaa and she is a master of earth bending and all its forms, which overpowers Garaa 10 fold.

Its a case of not who is faster but who has greater skill, usage , power and mastery of the element. That is where she rules supreme against him. Thats why i said when it comes down to chakra....he will fail since he relies on it and it takes of it for his control with his armor as is. Toph doesnt have that fault. Even tho both are relaxed fighters and can play well defensive  strategies as well attacks, Toph just have more advantages  than garaa and no weakness. Her being blind doesnt restrict her as even garaa was surprised.  So matter he takes to the air, she still knows where he is and the outcome is justified for her win. She is just too beastly. Lol

Tho Garra would lose don't do what death battle does. Death battle does mAKE SINCE WITH THERE MATH BUT THEY ARE FLAWED (sorry for caps.) in execution of it. DB tend to find one thing to say why someone would win or lose and runs with it and, then disregards all the other info they put on the table. In the case of this battle the brought up the lose of the tailed best and the chakra armor, then they pointed out they they are using the older Garra and he is wiser, more powerful,  and more open blah blah blah. Then when the battle starts we see a gloomy Garra.  Next the whole armor fatiguing  thing is WAY OVER PLAYED. We see clearly that the armor doesn't drain older Garra as much as it did when he was young. In the battle with his dad, Garra was in serveral continuous EXTREME high level fights. Even telling Naruto 9 tail beast mode clone to watch out because he is to vital and doesn't want to harm him in the melee. When Garra saved is village, which DB brought up it was from meteors and not bombs. They was nothing more then Garra waving his hand. It was effortless for him to do. Also The gold dust bit is far fetched. As Garra is a defensive fighter he used the gold dust ONLY in that battle because it would help him win the battle with the second  Mizukage. Garra can incorporate other elements into his sand as he see fit.

garra is no push over and tho he would have lost they did it wrong with DB. They attack with kid Garra's mentality and not adults Garra's.  Garra would have fought so differently then they showed in DB. Garra would have push his opponent to see what he can and can't do and where they would go....and like ,Garra ,Toph is not a machine. Chakra is nothing more the stamina, so she too would eventually timeout.

To think about it... this would be a draw. The Mother sand is independent of Garrra and his energy. Toph is not fast enough to get in on Garra. the shield would block her if she got close and and the second she she removes the part that blocked her more would follow causing her to have to react to it over and over again if she tried to get in. Its a stall mate.  DB  just played Garra so hard core and make him look so damn stupid. All of this is why I Hate Death Battle.

Great points there Rage. Thats the makn thing i see with DB battles, they dont always incorporate  everything they analyze in their pre battle points. Garaa did fatigue way too early if using  great ninja war garaa supposed to tounger Garaa, plus they made Toph too jokey where once she serious it gets intense and she does way more things using her bending power that can give an avatar a run which equivilent to a tailed beast in scope of power. Once you throw in chakra control then bets are kinda off on his side tho. He then only has his mothers essence sand to rely on but as crazy as that sand is toph still dont need to get in close to gain a hit. Rock lee did it with his speed where she would only need it with her power alone since she nowhere near rock lee level speed.

Once tired out and chakra reserves are low his sand powers are nowhere near as strong to existant and only moms sand is available. Still does its job but its mostly used for defense only.  I would call this a draw match through sheer chakra drained on garaa side and hers being so fatigued she cant bend as much. But DB wouldnt be able to stretch that kind of intense battle out right anyway. Lol . So yeah a debunked might be in order if played out to the max.

I still say Toph has the advantage tho. Lol. Just cause i am a hobo.

I didn't or rather couldn't get to far into the Shippuden series because diseny NEVER had a stable time block for it so I don't know much of how he turned out but I do remember when he fought Rock Lee and while Rock was able to get past it the sand on it own was reacting just as Rock was moving until Rock opened his gates and that was in the original series. Toph is no slouch but I doubt she moves as fast as Rock was moving with her own physical speed.

Speed to me was Gaara's saving grace in this fight when I herd about it cause I figured there's just no way Toph is keeping up but I guess it was overlooked and since that happened I can agree with the outcome.

Garra speed is in his defence, not his attacks. His attacks are med to slow at best, they just cover so much ground to make up for the speed.

DB didnt over look the speed of Gaaras attacks. DB over looked how Garra attacks.
