Different sprite showing at select and vs in 1.0?

In my old WinMugen,
at the character selection when it was showing the (9000,1) sprite
we saw an in-game picture and at the versus screen with a different Y axis was  the (9000,1)  was showing a cool picture MK style.
I've been searching for a way to do it in Mugen 1.0 but without success.
Is it still possible to do so?

of course, you need to have a huge portrait with the select screen version near the top and the versus screen one near the bottom, then you jsut ofset the portrait in the screen pack code so only the one you want to see on the respectice screens are visible.
