Hello everybody Im starting a new wip and needing some feedback to imrpove my spriting, so it would be great if I could get some of it here

I recieved a bunch of sprites from an old dead wip from a member of another forum . Here is one of the old wip , and one made enterily by me.
The question is: what outfit should I choose? :

Well I think you're going for the older Raven, not the Teen Titans one... so...

here's a full scale of the younger Raven...

If yours is one the right, that one's good... The shoes don't feet though.. make them longer like the one on the left. The legs don't look right either, without the long ones.. w/e... The cape should be shorter in width too...

Atice thanks for the photo but yes im going for the orginal Raven as I like it much more so Ill follow your advices.
And worksa8 , yes I'll seek for samples of capes so I can improve it, to be honest is the first one I ever made....

Thanks a lot again for the advice as It gets complicated to me seeing the mistakes in proportions or shading.
Ill try to improve them and then Ill post the new ones.

Even thought it is isn't the right look, the one on the right could use the emblem 'brooch' and the belt. The legs could use the longer stockings instead of the hight heels. You may want to rework the legs, too.

Otherwise the one on the right looks good, especial with that cowl.

On a side note Raven has a funky cape in the comics, and you have made a pretty good cape, but it could use some work.

The older Raven does not have the belt, you're thinking of the Teen Titans version of Raven.

It does look like the older Raven does have those dress shoes you originally had, but the ones on the left would look better for the version on the right..

I would suggest going with the Teen Titans Raven though.. you can have much more ideas from that...

Raven has always been a Titan. It just matters if youre going for the Anime or not. Raven never looked young in the comics, in fact she is actually younger physically in the present than she was at the beginning of New Teen Titans.

Here is what I am going off of. I'm assuming this is her most modern appearance.

Raven's first appearance, in the sprite could start to grow on me.

hmmmm, i would think you should take the long boots of the first one and add them on the second one and maybe rework the cape a bit. if you need more visual inspiration then check out the comic book versions of her for better references if you tryin to get her more close to her older version.

I think you should just start from scratch and just keep the head part, and the arms... re-do everything else... It just doesn't look like Raven.. older version or not. Maybe go with the Teen Titans one, because you can have so much more ideas for moves from the show...

Added more shading details to all her skin and also the cape.

Thanks a lot for the advice.

Things I agree that I must improve:
-The shape of the cape
-Her shoes
-ADD YELLOW EARINGS (waaay too difficult for me now,I can't get them wright)
- Also Im planning to use the visual effects used for her in the toon series , and tomorrow get some inspiration from old dusty "New Teen Titans " comics....

Im confident that when I get an accurate cape she'll be more alike the comic version.
Im really not convinced about the boots, because she doesn't have them in the comic version and I'm aiming an as truthfull version as possible...

Please let me know what do you think about the shading in general , Im new at this so I don't know if Im going on the correct direction.

I really like the look on the right but I also like how the cape on the left has a pointed end curling upwards on it. The old Raven is really cool! You could do a lot with the character and her powers! I am really looking forward to this being finished! Awesome job so far!!!

Yeah. I don't see how earrings could be added in the first place... you can't even see (and not supposed to) see her ears... that's why she has the hood on.

What's new:
- New cape version from scratch
- Resized the legs a bit, to be smaller
- Changed the cowl a bit
- Did the back part of the dress (was missing before..)

p.d.: IM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS ^^ but still , please tell me what things you feel could be improved. I'm aware the cape isn't perfect... so tell me if you like it more now than before.

I think it actually looks really good. You should use that version on the right as your base. Look forward to updates. You should start spriting the full character now.
