A friend of mine barrowed my gba fire emblim game, and lost it, he moved and gave me his ds, so yesterday i picked up a used coppy of Pokemon Platinum!

Im exstatic! I chose Chimchar, because i really wanted a monkey. This will be the first time i dont go with the water starter. My monkey came out a girl so i named her Son-Son. I got one of those beaver pokmeon near the begining and i named it Spoot Head in honor of the Angry Beavers. Havnt gotten the first badge yet, just got into that cave on the way to it.

Im having problems getting it to find my wireless internet router. Any tips?

Did you try connecting to the router as soon as you start the game when u go to Nintendo WFC? It should pick it up after u tap (or press A) on search for an access point?

Thats what i did, it found my neighbors but it didnt find mine, and theirs is locked.

well since your neighbor's is locked there's no way to access it without them telling you the needed info (such as the WEP key).  I really don't know bout this WFC stuff. I hope this helps.

Well time warner gave me my ssid and wep key and after putting it all in and still nothing, ive descoverd my router just isnt DS compatable. I requested an aoss compatable router from the cable company so i should be able to get online at home here on tuesday.

Good...Platinum is an amazing game to play.I picked Piplup in the second run of this game(first one was the japanese version,second one was English)
Chimchar is a good starter overall,considered as the second best starter(when fully evolved,#1 would be Mudkip)
Good luck with the game...at a certain point you will need it

I think i just completed gym 4 or 5 I forget at the moment, my brother has been hogging the ds lately cuz now he's renting ds games from gamefly

Recently got the game of it myself on the comp. Sadly, don't think I can trade or use the Excavation Kit, however, since the time on the game is locked in with the time on my comp, timed events aren't a prob at all. Just have to change the time on my comp for a few minutes while I do what I need to. Recently got Rotom for this reason alone and am barely heading for my third badge (but have powered up most of my team already to lvl 25-30).

I dont think that matters, ive ran accross people from japan in the pokemon center's playroom. You just need to have friends online to do things with others in teh excavation. Does your ds emulator support something to cover net play in games?

I don't think it does, but I honestly haven't checked closely. I'll take a look at it later today and see if it's possible to connect with anyone. I'll post back here if it's possible.

I do know when I tried to use the Excavation Kit, the game screwed up because it couldn't connect with anyone, but I've yet to try the actual connecting at a Center.

The excavation kit now only works via Wi-fi (unlike the previous games,where it works offline)

I think i just finished the 5th gym. I brought my ds with me to school today but my brother didnt charge it, and he left FFA2 in it...(hes renting it)
