Photoshop isnt free though.

If you want a free art program, you'll need the Gimp. My sprite editing tutoral shows you how to use gimp 2.2, and has a link to the program.

it has a completely differnt layout it can do some of the things photo shop can do, heck i even havnt figured out all the uses for it yet.

so were is da tutoral u said u had 4 gimp cuz i have it downloaded but i have to ask can i help make those shields wit da gimp program or do i HAVE to have photoshop 4 dat.?

Its a sprite editing tutoral but it shows ya lots of things using gimp. Also yes you can make avatars with it, you can make just about anything with the gimp. I made my avatar with the gimp.

iight thx mew i finally got my 1st shield done..but i still need alil bit more help on puttin in colors and stuff but yea like i said before i'ma wait till yall make a shield tutoral usein GIMP
