Well at least it's getting a re-release and online to boot, this is the best of the Virtual on series and everyone should play it. They really should release special arcade control sticks for this so it can be played the way it was meant to. Now if they could just release it on PC too then I would be happy. I would have loved to have seen this totally remade with completely new graphics. Too bad this series died off...nobody plays it anymore and Virtual on Marz just dug it a bigger grave.

I loved Tangram on Dreamcast and I still play it, it's gonna be hell for some users on Live. But Marz, man what the hell was that crap? Why did Sega let Hitmaker develop it?

Just one of Sega's many bad decisions these days I guess, but this comes as good news though. Let's just hope people will give it a chance as it didn't sell well on Dreamcast. This series just never got the appreciation it deserves, but after Marz I'm not sure who will be willing to bother. People need to know this one is the masterpiece of the series and Marz does not represent the whole.

the controls made perfect sense and are very intuitive

Virtual On still has a hardcore following out here

Arcades still have the sit down twin cabs and people play that more than any other machine in some places

except for the capcom fighters

those are always being played

Is that the game that required 2 flight sticks to play? If so God its been years since I have played that game. I used to spend $30-$50 in quarters on my birthday to play it. I loved that game so much. If it is the game im thinking of please tell me they will release the dual sticks with it. If not ill never pick it up as it wont be the same.

This game needs to have the twin sticks to be able to be played properly. The controls for this game were always dead on and perfect, and had some of the best gameplay you will ever find. This game was for the hardcore as it never took off with the mainstream. Being released on Dreamcast didn't help it much either, as no one cared and a lot of people just can't handle the controls or even know how to play. But as far as I'm concerned it was one the best games ever, especially on Dreamcast. I remember buying it right when it came out and could not stop playing...it was a blast.

It depends really with you are comfortable with. I hated the Twin Sticks, could never get used to them, but with the Dreamcast controller I was really good at it. I could cancel, use turbo techniques and everything in a blink of an eye. It's pretty much the same argument with an arcade stick and controller for fighting games.

True, but the twin sticks gives you more of the arcade experience and is the way the game was meant to be played. But they do take lot's of practice to get used to and get good with. But the Dreamcast pad was pretty good too and functioned smoothly. In the end it's a matter of what you play best with.

Yea I loved the twin sticks. I was a pro at that game. Can't wait for the release, just hope you can buy the twin sticks. If not I may give it a pass.

the only place they may even consider the twin sticks is Japan, but even that is a stretch. I doubt they'll ever make it to the states.

More than likely, Japan always gets that hardcore type of stuff. If they do, I guess they can just be imported.

Twin stick, dual analog, meh.

Either way, I honestly cannot believe this game is getting revived on XBLA.

You know, SEGA should seriously consider giving their dreamcast library an HD makeover and unleashing it on live. I mean, there's a huge list of games I'd buy from them:

Alread bought Rez HD
gonna get Virtual On
Power Stone 2
Plasma Sword
Bangai-O
...do I even need to say it?
Rival Schools: Project Justice
STAR WARS TRILOGY
Episode 1 Racer (with dual analog, that game is pimping)

And that's just off the top of my head.
