That's what that movie was about? I don't remember much about that movie, except laughing at the "dammit Frank!" and "I was saeving teh bacon" scenes.

I'd worry less about that kind of stuff and more about NANOMACHINES, an actual proposed cure for such things.

Yeah, they used a modified version of the E-bola virus to counteract the cancer, which with time wound up mutated and infecting damn near everybody. Most people just bled out till they died, those that didn't adapted to the virus and became "Dark Dwellers", extremely primal creatures that burn when in contact with any ultraviolet ray or light.

This isnt a cure at all.
Its a new kind of treatment.
His idea is injecting metal into a tumor and heating it using radio waves, in theroy the waves will destory the cancer cells and leave everything else alone.

He's tested it on hotdogs so far, and it seems to work.

This will not however, prevent cancer from comming back. So its not a cure, but a treatment. A (hopefuly) safer treatment then radiation therapy.
