i jus got a used psp, but its updated all the way to 3.80!!!!

i dont know much bout it cause i jus had it for like 3 days.

but can somebody help me how to downgrade my psp to the point were i can have emulators, programs, etc. on it.

be very discriptive........ but easy to understand. im a noob at this .

i see videos but there confusing and all nerdy and sh*t

. i need to actually talk to some one back in forth about it.

im not really into rpgs. mosty 2d fighting and megaman series

To start, most people think of "downgrading" as a UNIVERSAL term for what in reality is MODDING. Yes you could in fact DOWNGRADE a version 3.52 (or lower) PSP to 1.50 or even 1.00 BUT what is the point of giving up all the things that make the PSP a MEDIA PLAYER and not just a video game system for the ability to play SNES/NES/GEN/GB(A/SP) Games?

As for your dilemma, you will need a "PHAT" PSP. There's just no debating it. The whole "cutting the 5th pin" method is extremely viable for bricking your PSP. Then, you'll most definetly need the 1.50 Update. Depending on which Custom Firmware (CFW) you want to go with (I recommend Dark_Alex's 3.80 m33-5 for certain reasons), you'll need other UPDATE files.

In conclusion, you're going to need a FULL PANDORA KIT. Which includes (but is not limited to):

- One PHAT Battery (NO, A SLIM IS NOT GOING TO WORK) (YES, you can revert it back from PANDORA to STOCK)
- One Spare MEMORY Stick ( 32mb > 4gb)
- All the software.

So how is it coming along? I know it may seem overwhelming but you have to remember that once you do it, it'll all be over and you'll be able to enjoy playing countless of games.

It's definetly worth it.

theres a guy around the city that does it for 10 bucks... when i get 10 bucks im planing to go up to him. less stress off me
