Yeah I had to get T5DR for ps3 because at the time I already had T5 for ps2, and I wasn't able to play DR for psp so it would have been pointless for me to get the game without more then a few added characters. Eventually I got the ps3 version and played for a bit, but seeing as how I played the hell out of the original, it got boring quick. I'm most likely maining with Kazuya, but at times Xiaoyu is cool too. Lars looks cool, the way he looks reminds me of Super Saiyan Goku from DBZ. lol. I'm really just looking forward to force mode though cuz I always played the hell out of beat em ups at the arcades when I was a kid, and with T6 force mode bringing in coop and pick-up weapons, thats exactly what it reminds me of.

I played against VKM the other day... got battered but it was enjoyable, I felt like I came close a couple of times and I did manage to beat him with Zafina.
Anyone who's played me knows I like to mix up who I use so I don't really have a main. Bob's pretty good and I'm liking Lars too, bit dissapointed they toned down Jack so much (he was my best in T5DRO) but that's understandable really as he was a monster in th elast game.

so far i have all the trophies besides beat nancy, complete the gallery and platinum obviously only one giving me trouble is beat nancy but im sure ill have it 2nite or 2morrow tekken will b my first platinum if i dont get the uncharted 2 crushing trophy 1st

Devil Jin was the pre boss in T5DRO before you fight Jinpachi, kinda like how Jin is in this one compared to Azazel.lol for the longest time before the game released I thought Jin was Azazel cuz Azazels arms to me kind of looked like Jins gauntlets. Also, does anybody know if the temple Azazel is in is the same one as Ogres? Cause it seems they're both in ruins in South America...

I 2nd this notion. I just played a tournament match (first to 3 match wins, I won) and the first match was a bit laggy. But all in all it wasn't too bad & we played some extra matches after our tourney matches were over( I won 3 matches to 1) anyway, all was fine.

Unlike Tekken v DR, you were able to choose if you want to fight a certain/random user and it shows how strong their connection is.
Simply stay away from the ranking mode until Namco updates that and join a room with users with a good enough connection for you.
Simple as that.
Maybe that's why I never experienced lag from a game I paid over 60 bucks for unlike a certain one time user and its called common sense, learn to use it rather than crying.

The lag in Tekken 6’s online play is unacceptably bad and Namco Bandai knows it. They’ve vaguely said that a downloadable patch will be available “as soon as it has passed rigorous testing procedures”. Clearly, they did not do enough rigorous testing on one of the game’s key components before releasing it.
Incidentally, when we asked you what you wanted to ask Harada-san, the question over online play was raised. So when I asked him if he thinks there’s a market for online play in fighting games… he had to stop and think about it.
He turned to look at the plasma TV on the wall and didn’t say anything for, like, 15 seconds. I was fully aware that he was pondering his answer, but it was awkward because I only had three minutes left to ask a lot of questions, and here was Mr Tekken, intensely watching a demo of… Tekken. When he finally spoke, he brought attention to the ramifications of online play on something relatively unique to fighting games: atmosphere.
It’s a good question. Traditionally in arcades, you would often fight side-by-side against someone you didn’t know. You also get to fight side-by-side with the home console version, but you are fighting against family and friends. You always know your opponent, so the atmosphere isn’t the same. Now you’re online against a friend or maybe someone you don’t know, but you’re far away — you can’t see their reaction or anything.
He likens the offline experience to martial arts tournaments — just being there as a spectator is exciting, and that’s what makes them popular, he said. “The whole atmosphere, the people fighting, the people watching, the interaction between the two fighters … that is something that isn’t present in online and it’s sad because it would really add to the experience.”
Harada is candid, perhaps unintentionally, about Tekken 6’s substandard netcode. “Fighting games aren’t really tailored to online play at the moment because of the lag,” he said. “But as technology evolves and the infrastructure gets better, and you have much less latency, perhaps that kind of participation — whether that be avatars watching or whatever — can be recreated.” So is technology (or the lack thereof) at least partly to blame for the crap online experience in Tekken 6? How the game recreates that “participation” remains to be seen, but Harada is embracing the challenge of delivering a seamless online multiplayer experience, and this is apparent in his answer to my final question:
“So what’s next for Mr Tekken?”
He laughs, but I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s a nervous laugh. Maybe he’s happy that he can finally get rid of me. Maybe it’s because I called him “Mr Tekken” to his face. Unfortunately, his answer is more obliging than revealing:

the Namco patch for the lag issues is old news.I know it is old news but this part is new because it is pertaining to what the producer thinks of it and to just put it out there in bold print that the lag is horrid
Like a lot of th eplayers here, I haven't suffered much lag. Certainly not a smuch as I did in SF4 and T5DRO.

Anyone who reads this and stills says that the online is better then any previous tekken game(T5Dr) or games that have been released before tekken 6 is either just being foolish, ignorant or doesn't like facts. Read this lame excuse why the online is horrible and see what the producer says about it.
I don't remember anyone, including myself saying the online in this was better........
I remember making a comparison and stating how to possibly avoid the lag problems that almost everyone but myself were having.

So far its ok. Its alot better than tekken DR I know that much but I havent had any real problems with it.Lol hmmm.... anyways i hope to fight good players after patch hopefully corrects it tired of fighting AI and not so good players unless they say off the bat or i know they are not good(casual players)
I just wish ppl would install the game in their HDD so it will reduce the load times when trying to sync up with others playing and spectating.

yeah the online is rushed even tho it already took too long to finally release tekken 6 for home consoles, good thing that they are working on a patch tho, yeah i heard that kofxii online play was very bad, i wouldn't know how it really was either because i got kof after patch 1.2 was already released and played some bad matches at first myself but now i get good matches, in kof's case online play is a must cuz the game is a bare-bones unlike tekken 6.

Dude, I played a Hwoarang in some crazy lag on Ranked Match. ANd it came down to Final round and we ended up double KO. <_<

Well, yeah, the ranked matches are unpredictable and the system pairs you up with whoever despite their connection and distance unlike the last online tekken, I did state that......
..........Which was another reason I suggested that ppl should use the lobby system for they can see who they are fighting and their latency as well.
besides, ranks mean nothing, Ppl can use the offline ghost mode and rack up wins then get online with their ghost data uploaded as online wins as if they did something and still suck due to lack of talent.

the patch is already out, they did improve a lot and most of the matches are smooth with decent if not perfect input timing now, the big problem is that almost all of the matches i played were disconnected for some reason, only a few matches actually finished without disconnecting.sounds a lot like sf4

No longer you are forced to fight with whoever and you can pick who you wanna fight within your reigon. Another big improvement.
Sadly ppl can just whore out the ranking mode doing ghost battles and have their wins uploaded from their ghost matches to the online ranking matches as if the really had that many wins against "live" opponents.
Again, Ranks don't mean Jack diddly SQUAT! in this game.
