Listen to background music with Onslaught.
« on: January 19, 2012, 06:55:28 PM »
Need help figuring out how to have background music play while using Xslaught's Onslaught. http://www.codejin.com/

He's made so that his background music is built into the characters sound file. But even after removing that background music from the sound file, normal background music set to stages still will not play when Onslaught is used. Anyone know how to fix this and make background music play like normal while using Onslaught?

search through all files with a .cns extension for

nomusic

When you find that value look above it till you spot

type = assertspecial
Change it to

type = null ; assertspecial

You may break other things by doing this, feel free to post the whole control if it's got more than 1 flag.

I searched for "nomusic" and 'no music' in the .cns extension and neither exists in it - there's only one file with a .cns extension.

Also, there is no "type = assertspecial" either.

How about .st

Please, if our information isn't all encompassing use your head a little. Go ahead and look for stuff we haven't mentioned. You'll learn more.

My info is the ONLY way you can turn music off therefore it's going to be there, you need to go a little further. Believe me you cannot break anything by looking at it. And even if you did you could re-extract the character and it'll be the same as before.

Found it in a .st file.
Changed it exactly as specified.
Normal background music still does not play with Onslaught.

Is that the only instance of it? Onslaught by xslaught is pretty old, he may have done some odd stuff like repeating sctrls.
