Hello everyone and welcome to what i consider will be a very organized nomination(Consideration), vote and tally IMT award 's event. I know its going to be a little late but at least we are keeping up a tradition that is still going strong which would be honoring the most talented, gifted & hard working mugen enthusiast's who may not want the recognition but at least deserve it. Let's for a moment start it of with considering my general plan

1.First i would keep vyn's tradition and basic structure from last years 07 system and place the category's in different threads
Best new comer
Best stage maker
Best character of the year
Best stage of the year
best sprite editor
Most contributions
Best ai coder (Director)
Best hyper
Best special
Worst character/stage
(Remember this is just a blue print of the nominations you the community can submit nominations in this thread)

2.Basically change the vote system by points instead of how many people post, i feel like its allot easier to just hop in the thread read the title and nominations and vote instead of going threw all of the threads, the post could be left up to comments from the community.

3.Cut off date should end around January 23, 2009
Remember this is only deciding everything first

cut off date for this poll will end around January 8,2009

Any graphic artist who want to contribute to the banner's can send submission's to my pm box for consideration.

I could've swore Apoc started making Punisher last year & Zvitor released Aquaman . Which would not make them a newcomer .

Unless you go by when their characters came out . then Apoc would still be eligible , but Zvitor wouldn't .

As a matter of fact who was a true newcomer this year ?

UltraRoboNinja for Ms Marvel is the only one that comes to mind .

I don't think it make sense to make a category with the worst.... because basicly the people who actually "failed" tried sometimes really hard, it would just be disrespectfull (hope this word exist in english) for them

my first mugen year like crator are 2008, i started aquaman in 9/jan and release him 9/fev...
so i tink im a newcomer....

Yeah, i also debuted as a MUGEN creator in 2008 but i suppose my creations aren't good enough to win an award, huh?

1) I definitely agree that there should be no "Worst Character" category. To me, it just doesn't seem to fit the spirit of IMT. Let's leave that one to some of those other sites....

2) If it's not too late, I had some suggestions for a couple of categories I would like to see:

"Best Release" - This would be kind of an all-inclusive award to represent the year's most significant contribution, whether it be a character, stage, full game, lifebar, tool, coding break-through, etc.

"Most Improved Creator" - Should be self-explanatory. There are lots of creators who work their @$$es off to learn and improve. I really think those people deserve some recognition for their efforts.

Thank you for that, Most improved creator is a great idea. I have fought, scraped, and begged to learn, so I appreciate someone else appreciating that.

He still needs command work, but overall I think Robin, Joker, and Flash all have improved tremendously from their origional beta's.

Sniper Joe is really shaping up as well.

yeah, the worst category must be out....its useless.

we could have something like BEST IDEAS, to characters where the creator gone and made many thing plus that the original char had. Like pushed the character to another limit, not just a straight convertion
