Spiderman may have not been a movie of the comics out at the time but the movies did respect the source.

Im really looking forward to Iron Man, I love the blend of pratical and cgi effects in the traler, i cant wate.

I cant think of a time in the comics were he actualy used a proton cannon, so i doubt it will be in this movie.

yeah, I believe it's going to be based on the Ultimate version... like Fantastic Four took from the Ultimate version, as did Spider-Man... X-Men took after the 616 versions, as did Punisher, Blade & Man-Thing
