Very minimal difference really, in the gradient orange to red.
Also, I'll take into consideration the power bar gradient again as well  ;).

See you all, thanks!

i have always prefered the gauge and lifebar like Xman VS SF or thats of Hokuto no ken... i think too much color make the screenpack too confused. :)
Sorry for my poor english but i'm italian... :P

@ Near: I'll take it into consideration, maybe I can release a SP with lifebars changed and other one with unchanged ones.

@ Dante909: Was that SP the last one? I'll be try to release different Screen Packs, but I'll redo the first one in the coming days. I saw a lot of problems in the diamond-shape boxes, plus I really need to think about a good BG for it.

See you, thanks to all!

This

Ok, I have been working for some time in the ScreenPack (well, since yesterday to now really) and Ilusionista bring some good ideas, based on some videos of MayarLink user in YouTube, here it is:

CONCEPT IDEA:

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n46/Sub-zero99/SelectConcept_MayarLinkStyle2-1.png

Blue-stroked box: Shows the names of the characters, 2 due to the Tag system.
White-stroked box: Shows the stats of the character (Power, velocity... etc)

MUGEN REAL PROGRESS:

Thanks to XSpiderManX for the BG animation!!!

Later!

Thanks Near! and Ice, you can do some commands with the template I sent you. They just need to go according with the style of the intro. You can make them separate, I'll still think about how they would do the transitions from one to another.

See you, thanks.

Glad to see you like that one too ;D.
I'm already in the re-design of it (I lost the PSD file once I restore my PC, as well as the PSD of the lifebars and some WIP's, like Akari from NGBC  :'( ). However, this time the portraits will be custom, due to the monochrome style and the diamond-shape selector (thanks to Checho from MLA for the help).

See you, thanks!

Ken... not so sure yet. But if he gets in, he'll have both versions, one with CvS sprites and MvC sprites, so you'll be able to choose which one do you like the most, same for Ryu.
I'll send you the PSD file once I get the first test done, actually every portrait done will need to have a custom design from each other. I'm doing the first test with Ryu and Karin right now.

EDIT: Does someone know if there's winMUGEN engine with a Hi-Res select only? Thanks a lot in advance :).

See you!

i think having both alpha and CVS sprites is kinda weird. I'd just stick with one or the other.

The fact is that, in the beginning, all of the characters were going to be in CvS Style. However, do the conversions would take a lot of time. In some cases, like Ryu, you'll be able to choose the sprite set, for Alpha or CvS, in the first phases. I want to continue move on in a more CvS Sprite style, but it will take time to do it.

I did a little update in the screenpack:

"Next Location", as well as the arrows have a little glow. Still need to add the custom portraits.
I would like to take opinions for the BG, I don't have one yet. I was planning to use the vortex of the MvC2, but I decided to drop that idea.

See you.

well due to the fact that both sprite sets have slightly different sizes and some might have different moves or animations (such as ken) wouldn't letting people choose the sprite sets f**k up the gameplay? I know for a fact from making my own ryu (using CVS sprites) and studying scar's ryu (alpha sprites) that CLSN boxes will be different. I'd say just keep spriting the new guy's how you are, and just stick to either CVS or alpha for the guys that are already sprited.

also, have you considered using the background of the MVC2 select screen for yours? infinity had it on early versions of EOH before going hi rez, and it looked great.

That's a good point Tenspeed :). I think then that I'll have the Alpha Ryu only for show the system. The CvS will be the definitive one.

Also, thanks Kojunho :).

About the BG of the MvC2, I think it wouldn't fit in the game, mainly for all the "Marvel" words on it.

See you, thanks.

I did a little update in the screenpack:

See you.
So cool! Are you gonna add the triangle that'll be on the portrait box on the PSD? Also, can you send me the lifebar in PSD format again? I lost it while I was cleaning my CPU.

Your new seelct screen address an old mugen restriction which is diamond select screens. Perhaps you have figured it out. When you add chars to this screen pack how do you move around? For example, if you start with the red circle and you press down, where does the section go? If it goes to the right or left, then how does the cursor move to compensate the shift of the sell? If if goes to the middle then how do you get to the right or left ones?

If you've figured this out then you should pat yourself on the back.
