I had a thread about this before the last rebirth, I've had my PS2 for a few months now and I have these games:

*Arc The Lad
*DBZ Budokai 3
*Gta III & Vice City
*Virtua Fighter 4
* Naruto - Uzumaki Chronicles 2
*God of War II

The last 2, I picked up last night for $15 each brand new... can anybody recommend some good games of any genre for it? I'll try almost anything once...

Virtua Figher 4 Evolution (now with custom charecters!)
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (might wanna hold off since 3 will be out soon)
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
Resident Evil 4
Megaman X Collection (all the 2-D Megaman X games on one disc!)
Street Fighter Anniversery (Hyper SF II, Street Fighter III 3rd Striker and the SF2 movie! all on ONE DISC! O=)

To be honest, I regret going crazy over the PS2. There were only a few good games that I bought, and one of the main reasons I bought it was cause my PS1 had conked out. I rarely play PS2 games anymore. Anytime I turn it on is to play PS1 games.

Well, anyway, here are the good games I bought:
-Kingdom Hearts
-CVS2
-Devil May Cry 3
-SFEX3 (good game, but the replay value is... ugh)

And thats it... The rest I have, I could've bought on other systems or just avoided completely.

zone of the enders and zone of the enders the second runner the best mech games of all time!!!!!!!!!! you have to get both on ebay i think as they are pretty rare now atleast the second runner is!

EDIT2: when you approach the end of the game you get this power called zero shift which basically you can teleport an object or enemy and its really awesome for boss fights and also you get an upgraded battle system which gives you a permanant shield so the wisps in that first fight wont damage you at all and neither will that charge up beam attack. its pretty cool is if you can find it play the game all the way through atleast twice.

Warriors Orochi - Dynasty and Samurai Warriors cross over... man oh man this has been my dream ever since I've played almost all DW games and both SW1 and SW2... and finally after buying it, I fell in LOEV... (I don't care about some of the negative remarks of this title.. It still has somethings enough for me to LOEV it with all my heart xD... and teaming up Lu Bu and Tadakatsu Honda is just plain AWESOEM XD)

yeah i got the game pretty good. but the best team up for me is Lu Bu and Orochi. Orochi is awesome.
