How do I make sprites?

Hello all, I wanted to know how I make hi-res sprites(or cvs style) do I have to draw them and insert them into fighter factory? Or is there some other method? I want to know because I want to learn how to make characters.  :|

to get sprites go to the lost and found section and you will see sprrite sheets then watch alot of tutorials
