There's something I wanna suggest for the sprite contest. In order to keep things interesting and be sure to get a good amount of variety. I was gonna suggest, that whoever wins the weekly contest gets to pick the next weeks char to sprite. That way people have an incentive for winning and more might join because of it. If it's one person choosing all the time, won't be too fair IMO.

Two restrictions I'd add to this though. First, the same person can't pick chars twice in a row. Which would mean, if the same person won this twice in a row, the second place person gets to pick what char gets sprited next. Second, I'd keep the sprite contest limited to comics and video games. I know a lot may want anime in there too, but in all honesty, not many would join for it. Don't get me wrong, I have my fair share of anime's I like, but whichever it came down to, chances are there would be less people interested then ones joining.

So, that's my suggestion. I'll be submitting my entry later.

I think if you wanted to do anime, then it should be anime as a whole, instead of one searies, I think open ended concepts like that should be valid.
Like one week we could have a theme of Robots.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. I wouldn't mind that. However, then chances are you'd end up having people vote for favorite chars rather then what looks good. Unless there's absolutely horrible sprites up.

otherwise we'll have symbiotes rainin like cats n dogs

but still there shouldnt b no limits, its like discrimination against anime spritin fans, or any categoery, then they'll start their own contest n u wont like dat.

I disagree with that .

Someone wins the contest & they already have sprited a bunch of say , Spiderman villians . Of course they will pick that as a theme . I decided to run this thing & never enter for a reason . I thought it was fair .

No it will not be symbiotes every week , either . Since I started this up , I figured the first week should be linked to my latest character .

Next week will be different , it will be spiderman goblins

Just joking .

besides no one else seems to be complaining about the theme . I have entries this week . Some people even made a couple because they changed their mind what they want entered .

You may not like the theme each week . Either grin & bear it & challenge yourself to do something you normally wouldn't sprite . Or wait for next week's theme .

My Hobgoblin does change into demogoblin . It' supossed to be a complete transformation , with a different moves set . I just never finished it .

So to answer your question , Demogoblin sprites exist in my Hobgoblin & Acey sprited some for a Green Goblin intro .

But there has never been a complete Demogoblin character .

Well, I know for one I wouldn't just pick something I'm already spriting as the contest theme. What would be the fun in that at all.? This is suppose to be for fun, so I'd choose something I'd wanna see others take on. This isn't about anything challenging either. I don't know what's coming up so there's no way I can tell if it'd be hard or not. It's about giving others the chance to pick what the next theme will be.

Either way, it's not complaining, just suggesting something that could make this better. In any case, it's fine.

That last part was more towards Super_Joker . He was complaining earlier in this thread that he wasn't going to enter because he didn't like the theme .

you could prevent this by not allowing the previous week's winner to participate. How else could the winner be rewarded?

i wasnt complaining man, i was just sayin u werent being original at all, there was a symbiote topic on scruffy way bak.
