These damn capes are taking longer to get right then I had thought.



Let me know how it looks. If the capes are right, I'll go in and edit the capes bottom to give it that spike look and then I shall be done with these. :)

We stopped checking for monsters under our bed when we realized they were inside of us.

Maybe you should just do the cape of the first sprite thrid row a bit larger, but other than that perfect work  :thumbsup:

No one has made any special moves yet, it's part of the Open categories in the first post which means anyone can make special moves. Feel free to help out.

We tried it a year ago with Dark Knight Returns Batman. The charcter was never completed unfortunatly. I hope to see if I can salvage him late in the summer.

amazing work everyone this batman is gonna be amazing. Sadly I have no clue how to make create characters for mugen, so I figured I'd just throw around some ideas and see if you guys could do anything with them.

stages

back alley in gotham with rain effects

gotham rooftop with bat signal in background

Intro

Acey I love the intros that you came up with, but I have one question about your jim lee intro. when batman lands are you going to have him just land regularly or have him land in the classic pose where the cape is sprawled out around him and his is in the crouching position? It could be cool to add the first part of danny elfman's batman theme

-I thought maybe bring back the batmobile idea, have the hood slide open and have batman jump out

-have him swing into the stage on his grapple gun

-might be too much but I think it would be cool to have him chase the joker on to the stage with a  sound rip of mark hamil's joker laugh, joker could be carrying like a sack of money or something

hypers

-I like berkay's idea of using dimitri's bat sprites, so I thought why not have a hyper batman begins style! have batman take out his little radio device and then a swarm of bats could sweep across the stage

-I also like the idea of using the an edit of gambits royal flush and replacing it with batarangs

-Have the screen go dark for a while except with the bat signal fixed on the opponent, the you can see the opponent but they cant see you for a short amount of time

-use the grapple gun to pull you into a melee rush hyper

misc.

just a thought of using the grapple gun to dodge attacks

might be getting ahead of the project here but as far as sounds go I feel we should use kevin conroys sounds from the animated cartoon

I love the portraits that everyone has put out so far but I thought that I'd throw some stuff that I found into the mix for consideration

so I was watching The Batman today and I got the idea that we could use his cool gearing up montage as like an intro for the arcade or something. just wanted to get your thoughts on this.

sorry guys, got a computer problem i had to delete all the datas on my driver d, so i have lost my big mugen screenpack , fighter factory, robin's new moves, all batman design, half of my stages.
So i will be busy to construct alL tis in the days to come, sorry, it s gonna take time, thank god i had "sendspaced" some files on some wips.
so that s all i will do on this character until my computer is ready because i have some mouse problems lately, the dawn thing is shaking and i can t sprite with this. i hope dt will add the cape on my sprites,
see you soon i hope :-SS

I was wondering what happened to you for the last week ? I've got a little done on Spawn overt the weekend when I was bent form parties . But didn't get to the capes on bats yet . I've kind of been busy pursuing the Donkey Kong World record . Over 840,000 is not bad , but  it's not number one  . I have to break a Mill to beat that little b**ch Billy Mitchel . Watch the movie King of Kong , you'll understand .

Dude , you sent me alot of your WIP's & sprites to have as a backup . So I have your stuff if you need it .

Jason if you need help with anything just let the extended family know. I'm betting Zarro, Mew, or Jay might be able to help you with any Batman stuff you need help recovering.

i had done some sprites on the ending(because robin legs are horrible :-&) and didn t save them because i were gonna post them on monday, like i was doing i sprited , i posted, but then i run out of batteries and my anti virus told me i had to delete all the lector d, and now i have this stupid mouse going to the left when i go to the right, i have to configure all this i hope to clean all on sunday. I have to start all the new moves on robin too ~X(
i hope to join you all soon

Here are some speical/hyper move ideas: hope they haven't already come up...

Acrobatics:
-Dodge, as simple move that gets him on the other side of any "basic" attack. (simple to buttons)
-Bat glide, jump up/ glide down (push 1 button, and allows batman do combos as he glides/ deactivates on the ground)

Baterangs:
-Normal baterang
-Electic baterang
-"Heat(enemy) seeking" Exploding baterang

Zip-lines:
-Shoot zip-line at enemy and pulls them in for a punch
-Shoots zip-line up/ falls on the enemy

Bombs:
-Flash bomb: stuns enemy
-Smoke bomb: teleports Batman to oppisite side of screen

Hypers:
-Crash the Bat-Jet!: Batman jumps in the Bat-Jet, he flies it around shooting the enemy twice, third time jumps out as he drops the Bat-Jet on them!
-Mega mecha suit.... I don't know and combo maybe
-Anger: enchanced attack and speed (brings out bat claws)
-Batcave beat down: Batman, Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, etc. "beat the crap" out of the enemy
