Working on my new WIP which is the Mega Man 8 version of Wood Man. I would appreciate it if people could help me out with coding him and supplying sound effects.

Neat.

I've never actauly gotten past the first round of robot masters on MM8, so I've never even seen woodman before now, but he looks cool.

I've never actauly gotten past the first round of robot masters on MM8, so I've never even seen woodman before now, but he looks cool.

As far as I know, he's a hidden boss on the Saturn version.

Tengu man, I just got to tengu man with one life, died and had to start the level over, so I gave up.

I'm gonna go back to it after I beat 1-7, though.

Well, that looks pretty awesome. I'd help, but I'm not a coder of any kind and I'm actually trying to find a coder for when I start working on MY WIP...Which shall remain secret, but should be obvious...If you know where to look.

because it was a saturn exclusive until sony whined there way into getting it but the water level looks better in the ps version and the sound and cutscenes were better

oh and tengu man is the easiest mm boss ever he has three easily dodgeable attacks his tornado hold is useless just move out the way the wind balls that throw you of the stage can be jumped over or if your in the middle of the stage when he throws it just move to the edge of the stage and itll fly over you and when he dashes at you just jump over him every time he does a move he announces it before he does it and leave himself open so just basically run around with your shot charged either jump or run and let him have it when he opens up :)

Just letting you guys know, Wood Man is coming together great and I got a lot of help from Calamix to help me code his Leaf Shield attack. I'll keep you posted with more progress on him.

after like 2 minutes of play, this is what I got:

needs the ability to walk.

anyway. I like him, he's got a decent moveset, but he's missing move most would consider "not special", I mean, right now he has the leaf shield, a Sonic-boom thing, and a vine whip.

I like the aerial were he falls on you.

I have an Idea for a hyper: he throws a seed on the ground, and it grow into that huge spiny vine that amingo turns into.

Personnaly, the moveset I see as like this: (this just how I would see wouldman, you don't have to do ANY of this)

LK: megaman low kick LP: right hook
MK: megaman med kick  MP: left hook
HK: you know that move Iceman has where Ice comes out of the ground? how about that but with vines?HP: Vine whip you have now.

and the sonic boom thing would be a move, as well as leaf sheild.

And how about some moves with an Axe? That'd be cool.

(ideas stop here)

also, shouldn't he be megaman size? right now he's a tad too short.

well, he's great, better then anything I can do.

He never walked in Mega Man 8 and their are no walking sprites for him. Also, the reason for his odd move set is because I have a fake bio planned for him with some info on how he got the attacks. Also, his move set isn't complete and I'm going to add new attacks.

Both the Megaman 8 & Rockman 8 versions.  Cutman and Woodman both retain their Japanese voice, with the only difference being a few voice samples.
