So Zvitor's confirmed wips are

- Batman
- Goliath (Gargoyles)
- Alisia Dragon

What about you Ilu?

I'm just wondering so that I can make images to put on the website under WIPS. Bosses not included, just playable characters.

Yeah. We will make him regret this day, LOL.

Cool. We (me, you, MDI) need to talk (and by PM, to do not spoiler the surprise) about which chars each one is going to make, to avoid any double work.

~

hehe, I was playing this game at my Dingoo when I was comming home. I see some potential there, but maybe not Robocop but ED-029:

Ryouwin, a buddy of mine, made some chars from that game, and I'm pretty sure he authorizes us to use their sprites. I will try to reach him.

Robocop1 Arcade seems to be the best size...but even so he is just barely too tall. I resized the image by 50% btw to know more accurately the size of the sprites.

But yeah, honestly I don't see any of those working. One of the bosses though I don't see why not.

PM me whenever you wish, of course. And I try to let you all know what I'm working on beforehand.

I got a PM from bt52694 suggesting that I consider these sprites for the game,

http://www.spriters-resource.com/other_systems/rockmanws/index.html

Which is a good idea. This is probably the only Mega Man game that has character sprites with proportions/sprite style suitable for this game. I admit that Mega Man himself is quite short (around Daredevil's size), but in most games Mega Man is usually portrayed as being shorter then everyone else anyways.

I'd do a character from this game myself, but I don't know jack sheeeuuut about the Battle Network series so I wouldn't know how to go about it. Anyone else is welcome to though.

ONE MORE THING.  :P

And I'll try to get to updating the website like I said. I'll let you guys know if I end up doing that tonight.

one of the worst Megaman series I ever saw. But the sprites seams to fit.
And yeah, Megaman SHOULD be smaller then most of chars.
and here you have more sprites: http://www.sprites-inc.co.uk/files/EXE/Megaman/WonderSwan/

Pretty cool!

Just avoid to make stage with different (large) left or right bounds like this. This render tons of bugs on helpers.

I've sent you my short list of wips :)

Hmm.

Unfortunately I prefer doing stages with uneven bounds for this project, just to be more accurate to the games and not have it be conveniently even on both sides. I'll try to do it less though if it really is relevant.

Also I've updated the site

http://mugen.yolasite.com/super-nostalgia-wars.php

Just added more images to the Characters area under Confirmed and WIP.

Nice roaster at the site. Will you put the bosses too?

Well each boss will have it's own custom stage anyways, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I probably won't include the bosses on the site unless shown in screenshots and such, just to have SOME mystery at least.

Cool.

I remember that a friend of mine already made Octeyes and I'm pretty sure the authorizes me to change the sprites to Megadrive version:

(shot using the Arcade version).

Demon's Crest has a lot of cool chars, I plan to make some bosses.

Speaking about bosses...

That orbs rotating around it are so funny to do .*sarcasm*

Looks, its Sin&Cos time!
Quote
pos = cos(time/28.0*pi)*42, -27+sin(time/28.0*pi)*42

So far, so good. But I won't make a 100% accurate version because the original is just...FREAK.
Too math for me, thanks.

That's right. And, MDI did say that he's only allowing a few select contributors to test the game. So, I might have to start helping you out as much as I can. Is that OK?

Honestly you'd be better off just waiting for the final release. When I told you that I didn't mean that you should contribute just for the sake of getting some early version.

If you want to help us then that is great, but as I said only a select group of particular people who have contributed so far have access to the files.

- jump + A
- run + B

....
hulk (almost) done
looking effects for:
- thunderclap
- special jumlp land
- gun shot

you start round with banner, if you get a hit or use special button he turn hulk, and no turn back until next fight.
(only banner attack is gun shot)

I haven't seen any sprite rips of that first stage boss from Contra, and it'd be hard to do because his head movements are a bit complex.

Those kind of movements are bit hard to do, but when is just a part which moves (like on that char), its okay.

If you wanna see real challenge, see this movie. THAT is f**k*** hard to do:

- at 0:45 there is a worm which moves itself like a crazy bee-otch. That is bezier curves in action, and I *THINK* I can do it, but not 100% accurate.

- at 1:21 is where "the children cries but the mom doesn't hear" as we say here. Too math involved. Its possible, but is tedious to do.

- at 2:21 is the char I'm making.  The circle motion spheres are done, but he uses some changes on the sphere is are hard to to (possible, but too hard). I've changed it a bit, now it can throws the spheres to attack. But to make it remember which position it had when it had started....is a NIGHTMARE.

I think I will make the sphere to vanish and another one to appear on the right spot, but dunno about it.

There were some other I would like to do, but dunno If my math skills can match that challenge:

- at 7:06 seams to be possible

- at 8:40 is who I would like to do. But its too hard

How about the characters from this: http://www.bogleech.com/arcade-ml.html

If you say yes, I can rip'em all!

I think the normal chars are too big. Please, see the first post with the size chart.

I'd definitely say no to GGX Advance, mainly because the sprites in that game are just downgraded to Hell sprites based on the high res ones from the original version.

As for that Groove game, also no because the proportions are a tad too anime/super deformed.
