You've seen it here first. PK Trainer's actually alot futher in development then what the video shows, I made him (EoH Template), broke him down onto a different template (KFM Template) and now re-making him, but I've yet to fully replenish all his moves onto the new template (tho i already have the PCX ready to go, so it's just a matter of time and patience.) Anyways sorry for the recording speeds, hope you like it.

Also the stage used in this video was created by me as well for PK trainer's official level, it's about 60% complete, I just have to add some layers and it should be good to go. Oh snaps, watch out now, aPoC's a stage creator now... :DxDie But seriously, i did have fun making it and might make more in the future.

This is one chracter im defetnly going to download. Like the stage to, didnt notice the Apoc trainer sprite though lol.

Maybe you should have a trainer sprite contest, where the best ones get put into the stage.

I was thinking the very same thing, actaully the guy with the blue hair next to the "aPoC" sprite is actaully a sprite made by the person how ripped some of the characters used in the stage. Theres also a second contributor sprite hidden behind the cameraman on the right but he looks normal and blends well with the rest of the townsfolk.

I was going to make a contest out of it but didn't think it would really take off anywhere, so  instead I just figured if anyone would be so kind as to contribute a custom PkMn Townfolk sprite of themself or edited, to the finalized version of the stage, I'll add it in.  I'd like to see some creativity and originality, so surprize me.

remember that in order to keep it a little more true to the character,the trainer could have up to six different pokemon available...i know that you used Cyrus' sprites to make apoc  ;*))
The stage is quite cool as well,and the character concept is good,i just ask,is pikachu going to stay arround all the time? I know is the official mascot,but we all have been "overexposed" to it and it's badly done clones(+le/-nun and that squirrel)

Platinum sprites are out(same as the rom of the game),and some of the sprites are very cool to use :)

I thought about that myself (the concept of the 6 Pkmn rule), the idea of the charatcer is behind his persuit to become a Pokemon master. The intro was designed to capture the feel of the rememberance to the original Gameboy pokemon titles while continuing the progress as it last left off, including all the previously captured pokemon. Currently PkMn Trainer has 4 different sets of varibles that upon contact trigger 1 of 6 Pokemon from a def listing, with each varible owning 4-6 pokemon... Roughly around 24 pkmn are currently set (both attacking and duds) and i still have more varibles to build.

All this Meaning... as long as you play with a particular Pkball throw and PK Trainer Moveset (based from Shingo/Kyo+), it will play as tradition to the Gameboy titles itself, or you can mixx it up by using any other Pkball throw and build custom chaining combos as well as caught your enemies offguard. Of course, there will be limits and power loss per PK ball throw depending on the power of the selected PkMn, but i haven't implemented any of that coding yet. Glad to hear the family's looking foward to this character, I've made "fun" character before, and all remained private, but this idea will go all the way.  :w00t:

As for Pikachu, in the original Def based on Infinity EoH template Pikachu was a consistance follower as long as you didn't skip the intro, if you did, he would be gone the first round and appear the 2nd. I think what I'm going to do is make the follower optional by placing the helper trigger in the taunt information instead of the intro, so you'd have to manually call him out in order to have him present, but with him present it will activate additional moves (Thundershock, Thunder ect. ) that wouldn't be availble if pikachu wasn't present. It will work as an added dimension for gameplay.

He looks like a hell of a lot of fun to play as. Was curious though, does he have one pokeball move and whatever Pokemon comes out is random.? Or is it different motions for different Pokemon.? I'd like the random idea better, gives more of a luck draw to the character and would make him seem even more fun. Either way, best of luck to you and all your WIPs. Always keeping on eye on what you're doing with your chars. :thumbsup:

Lil' bit of "A" and a lil' bit of "B".

QCB+X = PK ball throw (kick, with low velocity, low range)// Controls 6 Pkmn (2 duds, 3specials, 1Hypers "Charizard") all chosen randomly btween the 6.
QCB+Y = PK ball throw (throw with high velocity, 3/4 stage range) // Controls 5 Pkmn (2 duds, 2specials, 1Hypers "Mewtwo") all chosen randomly etc...
QCB+Z = PK ball throw (throw with high velocity, anti air lob, full stage range) // Controls 6 Pkmn (2 duds, 3specials, 1Hypers "Haunter") all chosen randomly etc...

and then (In air) 1 of 3 exist..

QCB+X = No existing varible set // still building...
QCB+Y = PK ball throw (air throw medium velocity, 3/8th stage range) // Controls 5 Pkmn (2 duds, 2specials, 0Hypers) all chosen randomly etc... <----Zapdos will be the hyper for this set..
QCB+Z = No existing varible set // still building...

Each different throw will have a 6 team varible of random PkMn, each with the same numbers of Hypers and duds. There was actually quite a few other PkMn in the Def. file that were present when I made the video and didn't get air time, including Mewtwo, Ivysaur and Psyduck plus a couple more i haven't implimented from the previous def. file.for coding reasons like Chancey's life up statedef, Zapdos's Thunderbolt attack, and Chinchou's Bubblebeam attack, just because i'm not fully satified with the FX and codes previously used.

On the flipside, I just finished making a big change to the Pikachu helper/follower state in gameplay today. Now you have the choice of either fighting solo with PKball support or with a Pika partner on the side by simply pressing start. Also when you press start instead of Pikachu, you will actually receieve Pichu as your active helper and he holds his own 3 move set of commands (A+X, Y+B, and Z+C) for Thunderjolt, QuickAttack and Thundershock (Thundershock, still currently being coded, the other two are complete.) and with a fluid enough combo count from PK Trainer, the fighting efforts will help Pichu evole into Pikachu! From there, Pikachu with have his own 3 move set of commands with the same button config as Pichu (I hope, I'm saving that for tomorrow.) and the hit damages are doubled. Currently, moves for Pikachu will be Quick attack (already coded in game), Thunder and Skull bash or Thunder Punch, depending on what i feel will fit the animation best. I've been working on the coding for the past couple hours and have seen almost no major bugs like clones and state glitches all the way down to the evolution state and using both Pichu's and Pikachu's existing coded attacks, So thats always a good sign when I'm not banging my head on the keyboard looking for answers..

For originality...as unoriginal as that sounds. Seeing that Shingo for KOF is know as a semi clone to Kyo with no major projectiles, I made a custom fireball sprite using Chun-li fireball motiion with Ryu's fireball effect. The pokeballs have there limits, the fireballs are more standard combat with poweradd and such. I just don't want him to see like a direct KOF clone with helpers, if that makes any sense.

I've never known about May in mugen until you noted it, thanks man. It could help me with ideas to better me character.
