life bar trouble....

ok im trying to make some custom life bars but i cant seem to get rid of the background in my sprites it keeps showing up when i try them in mugen...any tipd for me?  I have the image in 256 so im not to sure what im doing wrong...thanks in advance and does anyone know of any good life bars tut?  i found one  :)
