Well the subject says it all.So what's the Highest you managed to collect before losing all of your rings?

Me the Highest was 517.

But my Friend so surpassed me.He got up to 893 rings

That was outrageous.I couldn't believe it and he beat the Carnival Night Stage with all of those rings too.You should've seen the score he's gotten.Anyway how much did you guys collect?And what's the Max amount you can collect 999, Or 9999?

The ring cap is 999, and that's what I got in the 3d Sonic games.

So that's the Max.Funny I thought it be 9999.I never bother to collect too many rings in The 3D Sonic Games.But then again I'm not that much into them.

Is that even possible? Don't the 3D games have a limit of like.. 500 rings per stage? I remember couse I could get all the rings in this jungle stage with sonic on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, it only went to 506(I think)! As for the 2D games, I remember I once maxed them out with that slot machine mini game!,

Yeah, everybody that trys long enough will get 999 at carnival night.

Sweetest move I ever pulled off is Sonic 2 Emerald Hill Zone:

Pefect Bonus on both acts (Collecting every ring in both stages without getting hit, 250 a piece)
All seven Chaos emeralds (three in act 1, four in act 2)
2,000,000+ points at the end of act 2.

Edit: Gotta hold off on using Super Sonic after the 7th emerald to get the perfect bonus, otherwise he'll deplete your ring count. Only way I could figure how to do that was just keep a shield at all times.

It depends from level to level. (and I guess you have to look everywhere for rings.)

I got 999 Rings in SA2Battle so that my Little brother could buy some stuff for his Chaos.

Easiest way to do so is playing in City Escape/Find the Lost Chao, go through the level 2 times and you'll have 999 rings before you get to the chao on the 3rd Lap.

My older Brother Maxed it though in Sonic 3.I could've sworn it was 9999.But I must've looked at it wrong.Anyway I never go the Chao in City Escape but then again I never beat Sonic A.2 or Battle I only Beat Sonic Adventure and even though it was better than 2 I still don't think Sonic Adventure was all that great.The Best Sonic Game there is,is Sonic 3 and Knuckles with all stages including the Doomsday.

I cant tell the number but in both Sonic 2 n 3 In carnival, Cansino I got #$#@%
I got so many rings that it appeared like that.

Sonic CD's my favorite Sonic game.

(I don't care what people say, I'd love a 3d remake of Sonic CD)

Most I ever got was 999 Sonic 2 debug cheat cough >_>

Most I ever got might have been 300+ But I was playing really slow.

They should have included the option for the Japanese soundtrack to Sonic CD in Sonic Gems Collection. It just makes more sense. The dude who did the US soundtrack either forgot to make tracks for the past, or didn't feel it was important, so whenever I went to the past, it didn't feel like I was playing the same game. Then I heard the Japanese soundtrack and it all made sense.

Personally, I think the Japanese soundtrack outclasses the US soundtrack, but only because the US soundtrack is incomplete.
