IMT Awards 2009 - Final Results
« on: February 26, 2010, 12:05:05 PM »
The results are in and the winners of the IMT Awards 2009 have been decided. I feel that yet again, the winners are all deserving of the awards and shows a good picture of who we are today as a forum. Thanks to everyone who voted.

Forum Pick Winners:

Last year as we were handing out awards the IMT discussed the possibility of doing a second set of awards, based on votes placed by the Infinity Mugen Team core members. We gave this a shot this year and really had some good discussion and voting about the canidates. There are just so many great canidate in all the categories that in the end we really wanted to hand out multiple awards for each area but decided against it in the end. The winners of the IMT Picks are given below:

IMT Pick Winners:

Thanks for a great year everyone, now let's make 2010 just as good as the last three and a half years have been!

thanks all, BUT
i thought the problem with kong spiderman was solved privatly, in my first post even before make any sprite edit i said "im using kong's spiderman because is opensource", 12 pages later and after 3 videos no1 said "hey, share credits with kong, he is not opensource"
http://www.infinitymugenteam.com/Forum_345/index.php?topic=23302.0
...i released him almost everyone love him, IMT hosted him and everything fine, the problem only started one month later when i started to help dcvm with one char, i received this pm:
"It's obvious that you used Kong's character as a base. You should really tell people the truth."
corse its obvious, truth are in my first post and in readme, because i thought kong was opensource, and im sure im not the only to tink that. and i dont use "kong and zvitor" because in the end spiderman was a char completly original and different from all spiders around...so if someone still have contact with kong, ask to him if he have some problem with that, if yes, i start him from scratch.

Back on topic.. Congrats to the finalists. I think the best contribution should've been MUGEN 1.0 in general though. RC6 didn't improve as much as the first one did since the 2002 beta, mind you. ::salute::

wow, so... I think there is no point in recoding a character. That would just waste time. I agree that you made a completely original and different Spiderman, which is why your character is so great and deserved to win. You are are programer as well, you know all the hard work Kong put into the character to make him in the first place.

ok, sry is a bit overreact, but after my little contribution in dcvm or maybe after be ilusionista parthner i fell a different rellashionship with imt, and i thought it was a way to provoke me, why just in banner? in pool dont have kong name.
lets keep it private.
... and again thanks all for vote, i hope to continue helping all projects around, making good releases and probably one char next weekend.

It was only right to put Kong's name on the banner since he did the original coding on Spiderman. I mean you can still look at a lot of the coding & see kong's code in there. So it was kind of a collaboration with you & Kong. You did add a lot of originality to him, which is why I voted for Spidey

Anyway

Thanx to all who voted for Wolvenom. I give Sabaki all the credit on this award for coding him. After all without his awesome coding the character was just cool animations. The coding is what made Wolvenom fun to play. Special Thanx to Elmatador & Sabaki for help with the voices, That makes Wolvenom stand out. Thanx to everyone else who helped on this character. Look for future updates to Wolvenom soon.

Congratz to all the other winners & nominees. Each & every one of us help keep this engine alive

why just in banner? in pool dont have kong name.

That's easy to explain, when the poll was put together I took the names as they were in the nomaination thread. Volzilla nominated Spidey by saying "spiderman by zvitor" and I didn't even think to change it. Later when IMT voted on the IMT pick we didn't use the original nominations at all, we started different threads in a different place.

I have nothing but respect for you and all the work you do ZVitor. you were voted the best creator 2 years in a row for very good reasons.

I already explained that in one of the threads. Voting slowed down to a screeching halt. Not even one vote was cast for 3 days in any category. So there was no point in keeping them open.

That doesn't mean close it so what you want to win wins.
I thought awards were supposed to be unbiased. =D>

No votes were placed for 3 days in a row, so we closed it, interpret that how ever you will. Besides. No awards are unbiased. Everyone used their own biases as they voted, thus the awards create a good picture of the people who are active on the forum at this time. Is Vergil by Bugya a better character, depends on if you talking to comic book fans or anime fans.
