Ok. I think its about time I start an offical WIP topic.
For you guys i'll just put them in one post

This first one i bet your expecting because of the sprite of the week contest

The Toaster King.

He's got Spiral Power!

Im accepting ideas. He's going to defently be firing off toasters, and he'll have a toaster beam.
Any silly off the wall ideas, im taking them.

Ok and im also working on this guy.

Thats right, sniper joe is going to be compleately re-done!
And ive got a smart(ish) palette going this time!

He's going to use the other joe's in a more Captain Commando like fassion, sence we arent using strikers for RMM
And there's more done with joe, ive just havnt posted all of it. Like ive finished the get hits.
The shield now is 100% from scratch. On the last version, the shield was edited from a blown up version of the snes sprites.

I think a basic move of his should be a Hadouken, but it's actually Toast on fire. The other one i was thinking of is a whip move where Toaster King hits you with a plug and electrocutes you.

I was planing on the hadoken being a toaster.
The electic coard attack i can easly get from Omega Red, just turn his tentical into a plug.
The marrow attack, i could turn those into plugs, or drills...

I like the concept of electrical cords more, but then again, we are making a character about the lord of all toasters and there byproducts

But if the toaster king does has a hyper move of Giga-drill, then defiantly go with drills in this case.

He can throw low fireballs, but the fireballs will be toasts with butter and they hit down the oponent like low HK, because butter is a god slipper.
Or with jam, acting like glue (no damage) . The in this state oponent can't jump because he is fized to the ground with the jam.

Obviously, his defends with toast shields (like cap america)

Now an idea for a hyper:
He can summon a gigant toaster. The toaster falls on the oponent with the toast-holes facing the floor. If the hyper hits, the oponent is grabed inside the toaster (the oponent does not appear on screen, only the toaster). Then the Toaster King kicks the toaster and the toaster roll. The toaster finishes toasting, and the oponent fly, burning!

OR

the toaster throws the oponent to the ceil and toastmaster hit the oponent withan upside-down punch!

I think a good thing is maybe TK (Toaster King) could throw some Sonic Boom Bagel's. Or even some Destructo Disc Waffles.

Sounds good. Got three more ideas for him.

1) I'm not sure if this is possible and if it is, not sure if it'd be easy to code. Would be cool for a hyper to see him get a yellow butter like aura around him. As long as he has that aura for the short while, have him have a 1/3 chance of not getting hit by any attack. Sorta like he's just too slippery to hit because of the butter.

2) Have him lean his head towards the opponent (like the Rhino charging special) and shoot a bunch of toast from his head at the opponent.

3) Would be great to see a giant hand come from above the screen over the opponent with some type of jam on a butter knife and slather the opponent with it. Doing decent damage and leaving them in a frozen like state for a short while.

I can use the All toasters toast toast sound bite and put it with batzarro's 2nd idea with the toast from the head shot.

This guy has metal hands...

He can heat up his hands (making them incandescent, glowing red) on his head's toasting holes and deal burning damage for a while, like silver samurai when he charm his sword...

And a special version of the hyper drill

Im trying to make him walk and look good before i do anything else.
Animalistic fighters and robotic fighters dont quite mix well.
Im trying to use sabertooth's walking backwords for both the forwards and backwards of The Toaster King.

Trying to get sabertooth and doom to match up well isnt easy. Here's the first of the walking frames for toaster king. I'll post the full animation for you to see when ive got it.

Your new wip looks very promising! I didn't think my theme for the spriting contest would give any one the idea of creating a toaster character, but I still can't wait to see what ideas do you have for him.
